Well, I did save an undamaged version that needed window replacements, so probably

I can't really help it I'm still just not feeling that great about them I guess. Just standard BATs But thanks for saying that!

 

In terms of bldg inspiration -- not overly, no. I've looked over bldgs that have very prefab-style designs and buildings in Mass Effect, so it could be a mixture of those.

New huh? Well...simply...because...well:

 

So, I'm just preparing update 69 (I've changed it into an special "intermission" update that I've been planning to do but haven't implemented for the last year) and here's this Google Sketchup car model I downloaded. While the models isn't originally mine, I have made modifications and have had to overhaul the texturing to suit my purposes. I converted its wheels into Mass Effect generator modules that enable it to hover considerably and have draped in Vancouver Police fashion. Added some nice, shiny police lights. A very modern rendition (went with the more recent modernizing designs, so it's mostly just black, rather than blue and white).

 

 

Just thought you guys might like to see it. Probably won't be going to the STEX. But no harm in show casing it...right?

You'll probably be better of asking about the flags in this (my other, themeless BAT project ). Meanwhile, unfortunately, NA is a little way away from completion, but I'll get around to it eventually. Just takes me a while since I have multiple things going on at once and CJ content tends to take priority The list below was determined by a poll.

So, no generic progress being made right now. Still focused on sci-fi towers in Vancouver. Made this from towers found in-game, with about an hour's worth of input lol. A few of the extra details pushed it to about an hour. Most of it is in sketchup, touch ups (such as these pre-made building damage pieces) are being made in 3dsMax.

 

I pretty much just took the designs from imported game models and refined it for use in SimCity, since the original version would be far too low definition to appreciate. Plus it was lacking structural damage.

 

 

It's a 300 meter tall skyscraper. This just happens to be the damaged version as well. *Might render a non-damaged version afterwards.

While browsing through the 3D warehouse on Google Sketchup, looking for a quick download of a condo or bldg to dump into SimCity to speed up the process of getting this update done ( ), I found few notable bldgs worth readily rendering. But then I found some interesting condo designs that would be good to replicate. So I got down to doing more model work. This is about the 8th building I've made (counting also a few that I threw into the reject pile).

 

It's rather on the generic side too, so people will be probably a little more pleased about it

 

 

 

Meanwhile, I continue to tease the upcoming episode with this pic, it's now been pushed to a clean number, E#70.

Yeah, a few night lights are great. Buildings without any night lights cannot be the best ones.

All these bldgs (About 6 or 7 of them if I'm correct), will be downloadable after a special update on ME:TMW. Plus I need time to render the night scenes since they'll take quite a while to do. Chances are, one of them will take near 1/4 a day to finish.
