Yeah. I can't really say what influenced it, it was still mostly derived from what blurry architecture I could see in the Mass Effect 3 Cinematic Trailer

That's alright dude Tbh, I'm not 100% satisfied with the turn out of the case/facade thing. It does a look a little more plasticky than I'd hoped. I can't seem to simulate a metallic looking surface (without my laptop going on overdrive, or the surface from looking overly glossy and reflective )

So...yeah, I'm not really sure where I'm going with this. It's just kind of...happening. It's supposed to be Illium-based, but it looks a little plain so far (a little plainer than I'd like really). We'll see what happens from here, just got a bit interested in using the technique I decided to use on the Sky Tower, since it looked remarkably well in the renders

 

You may also notice that I didn't let it finish rendering -- how fiendishly evil of me

You don't have to explain yourself. I just don't like that kind of building too much so this is not a comment on you skills but on the style itself. To each his own. The batting itself is awesome as always.

IDEK ANYMORE. So many random ideas, although I had already rendered this one, so this could be making its way to the STEX some time. I got lazy (and intrigued) and decided to just dump the Sky Tower's spire on this building and see how it would look. Looked surprisingly nice. Gives detail to an otherwise, bland and boring cylindrical skyscraper. Developing a bunch of circular towers for a city on Kanaze based on this kind of design concept. Because uniformity is king (especially in sci-fi as most people know ).

Haha lol no, I've actually edited it a bit (according to recent suggestions). But when you have 16 night renders to finish - it's just better to say that significant time will be required, which is a little short these days

 

What I actually meant by dumping the Sky Tower's spire was I duplicated it, and use it on this tower

That computer case shape building maybe don't fit in all the sc4 downtown areas, but can fit perfect in my industrial areas as an HT building.

Sorry if I can't get to your replies, in a bit of a rush. Just wanted to post this evolution of the colony prefabs I've got. I'm considering re-releasing them as a V2, which look significantly better and more detailled than the ones I released a while back. Hopefully, I can also ramp up the variation They're rendered in HD just so ya know.

Just another random update. Could come around to the STEX sometime soon Also, just got into using procedural grime (instead of photoshopping it in). Still getting to grips with it, but so far, the results are a little so-so. They seem okayish around the vents.

Hey, just here to quickly say something.

For now, ME:TMW BAT project will not be updated on BAT status, simply because I feel little need for this thread to be maintained as much. General interest in sci-fi has dropped, and I feel like working on these privately instead. Releases will still be made, but no prior warnings or updates will be given.

Okay, I've sort of made it a point to try and finish and churn out some of my unfinished BATs. I really don't like it when they just sit there, so hopefully, I can get some of them on the STEX.

Yay!!! I'm very excited by this news. You have some wonderful in-progress creations that I can't wait to use.
