Ok, JWS, you guilted me into finishing Freshwater Place... its the oldest unfinished BAT I have, the tower was modelled back on 24th January - technically my 4th BAT. I've now completed the base and some preliminary textures. (Don't pay too much attention to the rooftop garden or the rear wall, all still needs a lot of work)

 

Expect a few releases in November

Just one thing though. I think Manchester Unity is a bit too dark/saturated. I recall it being a little lighter yellow wise, on a similar vein to Flinders St.

Yeah, its another one of those buildings, 20 pictures has 20 different color variations. Normally that's with glass though I don't think I've noticed it on stonework before! I think if anything I need to increase reflectivity in the texture, but also thought I might do a flyby during the week and see what the real colour looks like.

Absolutely I will I do Freshwater Place's companion PWC building, but really the purpose of finishing this one now was so its finished. It would be kind of cool to have them ready at the same time though... we'll see

How can they make such a sleek and elegant tower and design the podium such that it looks as if someone had cast the tower's feet in concrete? Guess that was the part where the accountants took over from the architects and designers...

Freshwater Place is built up against another lot so you don't see that side of the base in reality (3rd pic), especially when Queensbridge Tower is built. Thats why it's all concrete.

 

Reddonquixote, your bats look amazing! Absolutely love FWP so far. Can't wait to add all these terrific bats to my cities. Wish I was as good as you!
