waiting on G6 to export. I was inspired by the Plugins We've Lost thread. If those NeonCity Akihabara buildings are lost forever, why not try making some of them myself? I don't know when I'd release them, because I have some other stuff in the works, but...

I’ve been to the DonQ, not the Aoki so much, but progress has been good so far.

From what I can tell NeonSim's AOKI is either a 3x2 or 3x3 lot and likewise his Don Quijote is a 3x3 or 3x4 lot.

AOKI deals in clothing I believe.  Especially  suits and tuxes if Akiba's Trip 2 is anything to go by.

Also this particular Don Quijote was also home to AKB48 theatre, Island Pachinko and @home Café (a maid café) at the time when NeonSim BAT'd it.

I think only the pachinko is still there (may or may not be Island Pachinko anymore tho).

The other two are sadly gone.  AKB48 Theatre ran out it's license or something along those lines (don't quote me as I don't exactly remember the details on that) and @home may have been killed off by Covid and the resultant slow-down in customer frequency.  Heck nearly all the Pinafore maid cafes have gone under leaving Maidreamin as one of the last remaining holdouts alongside Granvania, and even they seem to have had their once mighty empire of maid cafes cut down in size and store number in recent years.😥

Both still exist. I definitely saw that maid cafe there late 24. Was pretty busy when I went there.

The theater was closed for renovation when I went and it’s actually back

Yo, Crossroads -- *:D

You can find an excellent model of the armored cruiser "Furst Bismarck" in the IMPERIAL DOCKYARDS: CUXHAVEN CJ (see Chapter 03 of the CJ).  It has quite a pronounced tumblehome on the hull.

You will also see some tumblehome on the German pre-dreadnought battleships that will be featured on the Bremerhaven map (third installment of the series).  In fact, the pictures posted above of the Brandenburg show some tumblehome on that battleship -- but the area is small and directly below the funnels.

Tumblehome is a feature, more or less, confined to the French and Russian navies of the Pre-Dreadnought Era.  Russian designs were heavily influenced by the French during this period.

Unfortunately, my friend @AP is quite busy these days in his professional life and it will likely be impossible for him to find the time to stray off into the French and Russian ships.  But you are correct -- they would be quite interesting to see in 3D models.

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !

Well, makes sense, I just hope you get more requests for beauties like the ones you have just showcased. Superb work as usual!

Holland - Delft !

Delft tile started, adressed mayor issue´s ! Develope it to it´s full potential gradually !

i4f8wQ0.jpg

Delft Railway station now is fully underground but for the last five decades it was elevated, single track, due  to SimCity 4 limitations with rail underground stations here it´s about like it used to be except the double track wich wan´t there ever !

PWQIdDI.jpg

Today Tram line 19 serves the TU Campus virtual, in reality the line is in it´s finishing stages not yet operational at that place. The Leidschendam to Delft Station wich I show here is in service since  a decade !

This work and all my work is a mix of realtiy and imagination !

Little addition to this post, maybe usefull !

Last I searched for retaining walls to cover the railway embankment. Morifari embankment looked nice but the use little  complicated as another squarre making the embankment to wide. Some different orthogonal sets posibilities but no diagonal one´s. Wonder about those diagonol fillers I used for the avenue and GlR bellow to remove the starcaise effects they look nice !

vuXLQgn.jpg

Ms6Bd0q.jpg

That doesn´t look to bad, little ommisions for viaduct and railway curve !

HZsRcgg.jpg

S9vd5TL.jpg

c0n98V8.jpg

Perfect it isn´t but at least those brown side elevations are gone !

Enjoy !

I am so pleased with how the rebuilding of this corner of an old tile that I've named the housing estate after the 'Triumph At Ullanor' from the Warhammer 40k universe. By the way, does anyone know why I am seeing "Content not viewable in your region" messages in place of many pictures? This started a few days ago.

Absolutely, my next few uploads will be Tokyo based and I'm focusing on Akihabara Ginza and Ikebukuro. Maybe a couple Shibuya ones as well
