I need to get around to fixing those links, they've been broken for a month or two I believe. Regarding my current houses, the variants are not limited to just two colours, but also multiple (eight) orientations and styles. I will be making other colours and textures for the houses, as I am now in fact. You can expect pictures in about twenty minutes.

If there is a guide or any additional information on this technique, please let me know! :)

You can take a look at this tutorial on SC4D. It's about automata models, but not really limited to that, as what is presented applies to props with 1 Z/R view in general.

For a brief little while today I was bored with houses, so I did something completely different...

    8afcd250761ce7dd4d77469200ce3883b89e30d8

    ...very different.

    8afcd2507681ce42c8659d86ed51de8fcf6f17e0

I find that, while many dilapidated BATs exhibit the correct texturing, I feel few have the correct modelling in terms of deteriorating, warped, and askew physical structures.

    8afcd25076529f910db0b990f6a899b7d6088d65

I wanted to solve this in my own way. The above is an old police precinct slightly underfunded. Akin to what you may see in Detroit or Gary. Keep in mind that this is my first commercial structure besides the Camberton. Aside from that, I only do a few houses and mostly transit-related items or futuristic sculptures. Also be aware that the texturing, especially on the facade, is incomplete. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy this little surprise! :)

I love this one! IMHO, it would also make a fine little industrial building to go with the ABBT set. :)

So the solution is not use lot textures, neither BAT-exported models, but instead simple flat 1-Z/R ones. It is model, not texture, so it can extend beyond the lot boundaries (overhanging). Also its texture may contain transparent and opaque parts (an alpha), thus overlapping only the parts of the lot and/or the street you want. You don't need modelling for this, only texture processing.

I gave a shot to your RKT0 idea, it has a lot of advantages but is it possible to make the model use a lot texture TID instead of a transit TID and if so, what do you have to do to make it happen? Transit textures are reserved for NAM, afaik we're not allowed to have a transit ID range.

Let's play a game of spot Bipin's custom content:

    The first one is easier...

The second one is a tad harder, but not by much. ;)

Nope, they are working on my end. I checked with a few others and they are working too. I'm not sure what's going on here. :( Thanks for the nice words though everyone, I'm glad you like it! :) Look for them today on the STEX.

EDIT: You can grab my police station on the STEX now, enjoy:

The images wouldn't load for me approx. an hour ago, either. Now I can see them just fine. Maybe your image hoster had some temporary problem.

Back to topic, I love what I'm seeing here! (I'm referring to both pictures, btw.)

The attention to  detail on the precinct (the bowed walls, crumbling bricks etc) is superb.  I love the decaying wall set as well.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough. These are S3D models (although 1-Z/R and flat-shaped), not textures. The "textures" I'm talking about are neither lot nor transit textures, instead they are model textures, ie textures used to "dress" S3D models, just like the .FSH textures in BAT models. They are not accessible as lot or transit textures, only through the models that use them. As for their IDs, TID is always 0x7AB50E44 (FSH), GID is either equal to the S3D's IDGID or can have the special/default value 0x1ABE787D (I would suggest the former), and the IID is specified in the S3D model (there is no TID, neither GID field in there). So there is no conflict with NAM or any lot textures.

Thanks for clearing that up for me as well! On another note, is it possible to clone models with your Tweaker? If so, how is this possible?

When is a BAT finished, despite having no roof?

Perhaps when it is partly underground, such as with those last few pictures? Figure it out for yourself and enjoy. Keep in mind I still need to touch up the glass and reflections.

This boutique, along with the walls, will be released within the next few days. I will be quite busy helping a friend pack for their trip, as well as figuring out the logistics of mine, so I won't be on much for the next three, as I'll be on the phone or "throwing" peoples' suitcases. :P
