Great suburbs, bubassi. I like the amount of trees and your street layouts. Both make your suburbs look more realistic. Good work!

May I suggest that you download some suburban houses, just to add some variety? The creations by Mattb325 are awesome (Power search him on the LEX). 1.gif

It's not really a suburb, in the sense that there is no massive sprawl around my cities, call it a small, friendly suburb if you want 16.gif

Anyway: this is a middle-class neighbourhood of the capital of my region

Alright, here's my suburbs. There are actually two shown: West Lakewood and North Lakewood.

See all of that empty area? Does anyone have any ideas on what to put there? I'd love some ideas. And here is West Lakewood and it's mall in the neighboring city tile.

The worldwide economic downturn left many lots avalible. Anyone want one? 2.gif

That's all for today! See ya!

That empty space is a prime spot for strip malls. And maybe a Wal-Mart or two.

some ppl wouldnt call this a suburb, but i do, it is meant to be a  "small town" but grew much taller than i really had planned.  Its meant as a suburban area between the rural areas (north, northeast and northwest of this tile, you can see my farming style on the right side of the map). It has very little public transport (a few bus stations) and traffic is just starting to get bad at 32k ppl, with no room in the downtown center for rails i have started a subway network, obviously im still working on it but i dont plan on building up, only out as suburbs, and maybe a few mid-density apartment complexes

Here's one of my mess-about regions' smaller suburbs:

Could you believe that this used to be farmland?:

And finally, a look at the road network (I went a bit crazy with the roundabouts):

^ Looks good but I think you should plant trees in the empty spaces.

My suburbs are underway, the downtown is underway, the RCI demand is at 3500, and not going down any, so I am moving along at a good pace, by next week it should be ready.

Wow io_bg, I love the look of your city! It looks so realistic.

In the top left of the second picture, where did you get those white buildings that are part of the complex?

^ Thank you! Those buildings are made by Somy, a Japanese BATter. You can get them from his site (unfortunately I don't have a link).
