you need to keep it zoned on low density for the mansions not to turn into apartments

Awesome work:

True, but I think it might be good idea to run el-rail ines into the suburbs, if you could find enough riders.

Tysons - Funny how the only vehicle on the road to the mayor's house early in the morning is a garbage truck. Wonder what kind of "load" they picked up... 4.gif

Pictures from my suburban city Clarksdale, from a new region I have started working on, New Pannonia:

I kept the powerlines by the avenue up for added realism.

Below, another scene from Clarksdale:

And below, a business section of Clarksdale, complete with those suburban staples, the strip shopping centers and big box retailers:

@Victor Valdez: What's not to like? Your suburb looks incredible! And realistic! I love the greenery and the spread-out zoning. It really gives me the suburban feeling. Btw: Do you use some kind of a "darker street texture" mod?

How about that.. I didn't even know that SAM featured dark street textures (thought it was all about bricks and dirt..). 43.gif

@Wheezy

First of all, sorry for the late reply. To your question: No, I'm not from Tampa. And the number is not entirely random, but has no real meaning either. But you made me curious here, what is it that connects the number to Tampa?

I'm guessing 813 is the area code for Tampa?

I thought it was about time for me to make another contribution to this thread. There are some fantastic looking suburbs posted here.

I would like to first show you a shot from a city featured in Marquette Bay, my CJ. This area is suburban Pierpont. Pierpont is one of the largest cities in the region. You are looking southeast in this picture, in an area a few miles outside of downtown. Morrison Road, which crosses the expressway, is one of the city's busiest roads. Dozens of midrise office buildings, apartments and shopping developments have been built along the road.

Pierpont-Jul25921249932129.jpg

My second shot is of Firestone. This shot is just south of downtown. I-17 passes through the residential area. Firestone is home to about 40,000 people. A small town center is on one of the main roads in the area and provides an alternative to the crowded box stores a few miles away on Culligan Rd.
