Well, I guess there are still some worthwhile updates on this thread. Good work rickmastfan.

If you want to see other updates for the RHW, just go over to SC4D 2.gif

My rural highways show up when I am in mayor mode but when I go to the regional map I can't see them on the trasportation menu. Is there a way for me to be able to them in that mode. (I have the default regional map colors)

Well, I'm going to be overhauling every RHW piece for this project.  I only at that time had the RHW Curves beta in a dat file to override the original ones inside of the RHW dat file.

=====

Anyways, here's some more shots for ya to see.

First, a zoomed out picture of the new curves.  They aren't still fully finished because I still need to finish the rumble strips, but everything else for them are completed enough to show off this new preview.  You guys also get to see the new RHW-4 base piece.

Second, here's a more zoomed in shot of the pieces.
RHW_2.02_preview2.jpg

Third, you get to see the brand new RR Crossing as well as the Emergency U-Turn lanes.
RHW_2.02_preview3.jpg

Fourth and final, you now get to see the Street junctions with the RHW.  Just finished them overnight.

Enjoy everybody!!

Hopefully those textures get released for us. Hey look at this, I've figured out the 8 lane avenue to RHW transition, without ATL. Just see:

azninoverdrive: Thats the multi-RHW! Theres a guide how to make it in my signature. It may help you make other transitions, intersections, and interchanges.

The network looks great with a tile in the centre for medians and lighting. It looks and works like a highway with a collector/express setup.

Kinda like this:

Hey Haljackey, yes, what is in the picture is the muliti RHW, you taught, but I just wanted to point out the avenue connection. I don't recall anyone else on that. However, for everyone, multi avenues requires more than that, because avenues aren't side by side able like RHW. So the RHW 8 guide is strictly for RHW. Avenues work, except only going straight like that, you can't curve avenues because what I did was without any modding. So unlike RHW, they won't be able to turn and stay split. Yoshiland, and anyone else ?-ing, ATL means added turn lane, and is some wierd thing that customizes the network in the next NAM, not the one now, but in the future. I will have to say though, with RHW 13 B it does work a little differently, because I didn't follow the guide exactly. I laid out the avenues like you would in the RHW guide, but then I connected RHW to them afterward, and the game automatically laid out the RHW correctly to 8 lanes, rather than having to edit those in addition to the avenue.

I have a question regarding the RHW's Interchange Ramp System that was supposedly in development, Are there any scheduled release dates? and will this system be compatible with SC4's Ground highway aswell??

I've never heard of any scheduled dates before, but since I'm not a NAM Team member that's not really up my ally. Most likely, they'll be released with a future NAM, along with a newer RHW to go with it. I'm sure Andreas Roth, Swamper77, or someone else could give you more insight.

The MIS is only for RHW, I don't think they have to release new NAM at the same time as a new RHW and a new RHW at the same time as a new NAM (only an updated essentials file) due to the modularity aspect the NAM now has.

Apparently, the next release of the RHW will include the MIS. However, it will probably be referred to as the NWM (network widening mod) version 0.1 Beta. It will be released with a NAM too in order to be canceled.

Remember that in the past, some projects had to be scrapped in order to make the RHW compatible with the NAM. Version 0.17 was canceled in order to make version 0.13A and 0.13B.

I guess time will tell if what I said really is so, if it ever gets released to begin with. With SCS and CU on the horizon, who knows how long this project will stay afloat before sinking.

The Network Widening Modd (NWM) aims mainly to create avenues with functional left turn medians (as opposed to the eye-candy, yet UDI enabled version already on the STEX.  From what I here, there should be 3, 5, and/or 7 lane versions (left turn lane included).  There may also be a roadway with 1 lane going one way and 2 going the other, allowing easy upgrade from road to avenue.  More information can be found here.

Yoshiisland, your information is outdated!  The latest info is actually found "HERE".  Sad that its outside of the community though.

EDIT: And by community, I mean Simtropolis.  No offense to other sites and their members, you are all doing a wonderful job with this project and are a great asset to the entire SC4 "community".

That was before the NAM was modular. Now only a new NAM Essentials has to be released at the same time.

with everyones remarks regarding the RHW, I do believe our team is in its finest hour

as quoted by haljackey: "Sad that its outside of the community though." As it has already been addressed I do believe it is safe to say that the projects are more organized than ever with everyone on the same playing field. As for the development updates please go here for more information and to answer anyones doubts and questions. https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=990.0

I also have to beg to differ on your statement Haljackey "I guess time will tell if what I said really is so, if it ever gets released to begin with. With SCS and CU on the horizon, who knows how long this project will stay afloat before sinking."

With the new release of the BSC CAM, The life of SC4 has taken onto a new challenge with developments of adding stages up to 15 making the game more interesting than ever. As for SCS and CU it will never compare to the greatness and flexibility that we as a community have made Sim City 4 as. In other words BSC CAM + RHW / NAM = reverse engineering of Sim City 4

There are no schedule dates - we're not a company, you know. 2.gif All work is done in our free time, and nobody can predict when something is done. If the next release is near, you will find enough hints that are dropped in the forums a few days or so prior to a new release. 4.gif

haljackey, hey-  Hi there, thanks for including the linkie to the current RHW info.  I do need to take exception, though, to

Sad that its outside of the community though.quote>

That's just wrong.  The link takes you to a place that is very much a part of the same community that ST is also a part of.  It's just not here, that's all.  Trust us for a change, please- we're taking good care of the RHW project and its developers, and look forward to sharing the great things that they will be creating with the entire SC4 community, and without regard to which fansite you call home.

Yes, let's not argue about this... again. It's really obnoxious. Let's just stick to the RHW, and if you want to bciker, go somewhere else.

Hello I'm new to ST. I re-discovered SC4 and how much fun it can be with all the great tools on this site. I am unable to connect one-way streets or Highways or anything else directly to the end of a RHW. I have the latest NAM, NAM Ess., RHW 13.b. Everything works great except connecting Roads/Streets/Avenues/Hwy directly to the end of RHW. I can cross the RWH and make intersections but that is all. I appreciate your help and Hope I've posted this in the right section.
