  1. The Official City Journal Critics Thread Archive

hey pats thanks for the review of my CJ this indeed was my first CJ afterall and you can see signs of its developments......my intentions when i first made the CJ was to show how one's city would look like without careful planning twas still the first times of getting used to CJs and how they all looked like so i adapted and changed but also added a storyline as to how the city transitions and the 3rd transformation when done will be the true beauty as you guys have seen on page 12 and soon beyond.....you do have a good point My CJ and city development have struggled in the past but it shows to all CJers past and present, we all have had one point in our CJ life where we struggled but slowly we all learn and develop more skills and ways to make our CJs and our city more vibrant and look at some of us today some of our CJs are awesome. repeat buildings are a pain to get rid of yes and off and on lately i have been workin on getting rid of that specially those damned wren insurance towers! anyways cheers to pats for his in depth review and stay tuned to new updates to my CJ gotta lot of work to catch up on since i was real sick for a week
  2. @ nexus guy: as this has been already answered numerous times I will post the link to why the reason for this is: https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=990.msg106553#msg106553 please make sure to visit the RHW thread @ SC4D for anymore information, dont worry youre not doing anything wrong, it was already a game issue to begin with.
  3. chris: ill have to repeat as others have posted, this is the first major version to introduce new features for the RHW, in the future we will have other complimentary pieces for the RHW-6s please make sure to read the readme it basically covers everything k? thank you and stay tuned!
  4. hey hal as we have touched base with what i suggested you to do rather than continue with this multi highway guide...... instead of rewriting it, create an interchange guide as i have mentioned to you before along with the provisions i have provided with ya...make sure to pm me at SC4D when you want to get started i want to go over some things with you.
  5. i want to emphasize that his tests are not encouraged to be replicated for it is not what the RHW V20 was intended for as hal has mentioned and for proper placement of the RHW V20 please refer to the reference guide for proper useage i repeat his findings are just tests and are not encouraged to do in your cities. thanks
  6. @ hal: There is already some concepts on that being underway and worked on the RHW-6SC as tested by Rickmastfan67: it was tested on the default RHW-4 texture ID and should be workable once a additional puzzle pieces are created for it in addition, there already is a reference guide for the RHW here: https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=3355.0 it covers proper usage for this version of the RHW. Edited unnecessary comment. tungston
  7. really? as quoted from Tarkus: https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=990.msg104911#msg104911 it sounds to me like you have some outdated files sitting around--that's the only thing that causes that "red cursor" issue. Make sure you don't have any outdated transit mods laying around--I'd also suggest removing your NAM folder and re-installing the NAM and RHW. Here's the order you should use (deviating from this will cause serious problems): 1. NAM June 2007 2. NAM Update January 2008 3. RHW (and any other standalone Plugins, like the SAM or bridges) thats what i thought and good luck hope it works out
  8. sigh.....first off to people new to the new RHW version please read the readme and go to the reference guide here: https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=3355.0 before you have any questions, the majority of the questions are answered in the guide except the technical issues...now that is in the NAM Jan 2008 readme and the RHW thread:https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=990.0 .. guys please read it itll save ya time and troubles and the more sooner you can enjoy this in your game...thanks!
  9. You need to provide a ingame pic to further diagnose the problem for other help on the matter please go here https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=1444.0 Thank you.
  10. Guys, I must stress this, if you have not read the readme it tells you to go to the RHW reference guide located here: https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=3355.0. Its not any different compared to the NAM functionality in which you have to ROTATE the puzzle piece to get it in the placement you want it to be. Hope you all enjoy these New Years Presents and STAY TUNED for future developments and versions.

I work for a merchandising company so Im not quite sure where you got that assumption. I would definitely take Tarkus' advice and to be patient and wait. Happy Holidays!
