The one in this picture is not exactly the same one in the file, because this one is a lot, and not the same for what I did for myself. We have noticed puzzle pieces can crash the game too, over another puzzle piece. I am sorry the RHW team does not endorse, but many have awaited too long for some other stuff to come, and this was another idea. This was only done to see if te lotting the RHW was possible for other options, ie weigh stations, bus stops.

Real Highway (RHW) - Development and Support
azninoverdrive replied to qurlix's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
At Phsycho_Teddy, thanx for pointing Hwy 35 out, Ohio is not alone with RHW having signals. At Warrior, I didn't want to publicly mess the Exemplar 21's on the RHW that might interfere with the MIS, so I released this as a lot. Puzzle pieces are great, but they take longer, and you objected to the texture, you may not be alone, but that can always be changed. I was hesitant to make this a puzzle piece, for that reason. How many people have Shadow Assasins texture, versus the grey texture. As for functioning, the regular red, yellow, green sequence will function, but unless some one makes a modification that the arrows can come on, then, its just eyecandy for now. The other lights do function. As for a puzzle piece, I think that would be great, but if it came with the nam, I'd consider having someone else do it, but don't forget the arrows. For now though, lets just see how this works for people downloading this first version.- 3,919 Replies

Real Highway (RHW) - Development and Support

Thats what is suppose to be for this game, but some real RHW aren't always Interstates. They can be Routes as well. I noticed they'll put a stop sign on it instead with intersections that size. When in reality they could have put up a light, so I tried to make a modification allowing me to do so. I did notice the lack of intersection texture for the RHW, so I tried doing a gray one with a stopline. Yes its a little off in the middle, but it was weird having no traffic control device for this thing.- 3,919 Replies

I've tested this on my game, and see in the picture the RHW connects. This is a new working custom traffic light. This was to experiment the possibility of making a bigger intersection for RHW. You should see the icon appear in the Landmarks menu. This goes in the middle of a RHW crossing RHW. It won't plop on top though. The intersections first built, have to be demolished, and then this is placed where it was. Note, the RHW now does not have a grey texture for crossing, until now. dependencies, NAM with RHW is REQUIRED. This was intended for RHW ONLY. Now this is the version with no dependencies. So whats in the picture is not all required, but don't fret, you shouldn't get any boxes. -

<img src="http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/2259/rhwsignalnp1.th.jpg" border="0"/></img> Take a look at this Well, since the RHW has no traffic lights, I thought of this. What you see here, is a non-altered picture of a new RHW intersection. Notice the light actually works, and is not 100% game material, those turning arrows are not default.- 3,919 Replies

Real Highway (RHW) - Development and Support

Doh! Well in the meantime, before MIS is out, heres a picture of a ramp RHW interchange I've constructed using the concept of a 2 way ramp interchange. I've seen the same concept used for some interstates around my state. The road usually just has some sort of divider of cement in between the road. This picture is similar to the Rt 59/38 interchange some modderator talked about before, I think, but thats 4 lane crossing 4 lanes. However this picture has a 2 lane over a 4 lane. At the bottom, the RHW makes the road have a right in, right out only triangle, just like what you see in real life. I hope the MIS will have a stopsign for that triangle that says right turn only. As nice as the MIS ramps are, what would be nice, is a one lane road tool, not just for RHW but as another network, maybe in SAM. I think this can be done already with the RHW now. I was able to do this with the original, not the texture re mod. When I had a gap of 10 blocks at least in between the RHW, I was able to lay across two more road intersections, and for whatever reason, using the street button, it was still one lane. So it is possible. Something like those bikepaths in that one picture Haljakey has where the street transitions to it, its the size of one car lane. It would be interesting to see this for cars with the black color and the yellow line on the one side.- 3,919 Replies

Oh I see part of the problem is I think Dub is having. Most of this talk is on Devotion anyway. So unless your registered to Devotion, you can't see whats going on there. I am a registered user that downloads from Devotion, but the forum for me claims that my user name does not exist.- 3,919 Replies

The one problem here, is yes CU sounds very good, however, City Life and Cities Unlimited is not the same, just both are made by M.C. In 2008, is the return of the City Life series. This should be the determining factor, at least for me. The old saying goes, "this computer isn't big enough for the both of us."

Yeah, that looks like something in Miami. If any one has played GTA Vice City, this resembles their quality of work. I mean, I know a lot of people say this needs improovement, but it looks better here, than it does in that game. Thats like telling the guys at Rockstar, they need to do better, because they don't make their buildings 100 percent real.
