I'm actually not all that familiar (beyond the stuff that still gets talked about) with music from 1994, either. At that point my it was always the oldies station on in the car, by my own quirky insistence (I would throw a fit if my mother attempted to change the channel). So I am more familiar with music from the 50's and 60's than a lot of people my age... It wasn't until 1996 or so that I really started getting exposure to music that was current, because I started getting that exposure from other kids at school. I then subsequently decided that oldies sucked and started insisting on a different radio station.

Spice 1 dropped his 4th, and only plat album in 94, "America's nightmare", however a few of his albums have hit gold status, Dre, won his first Grammy for "Let me ride", Eastcoast-Westcoast war was in fulkl swing, oh and Pac set records for sales. But i personally think 1995 was the best year in the histroy of music.

I usually talk about music in terms of decades rather than years. I'm partial to the 60's through to the 80's.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

I went through stages as my music taste developed in high school. I started out with 60s and 70s rock, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, etc, and progressed into the 80s with hair metal. I had quite the collection of that stuff. Really, I should have been driving a Camaro in high school (I was class of 99). After I graduated, I heard Incubus for the first time and ended up with my current taste (or lack thereof, depending on your own point of view). I've never been a big fan of the bubblegum stuff from the 50s and 60s, nor into pop or hip hop from more recent decades, but I'm willing to tolerate whatever is being played by the company I keep. I do rather like Ludacris, though. And there's some country singer, Gretchen Wilson, who does a KILLER rendition of Heart's "Barracuda". It is interesting to read about how different everyone's taste and musical habits are.

I still think Microsoft blew it with the name "Xbox 360". They should have called their second console the "X Squared", and incorporated parabolas into the case design and the logo.

Either that, or the more obvious but quite logical "Ybox". "Xbox 360" is a stupid nonsensical name.

I've never really been into console games other than PS1 (Threads of Fate) and PS2 (BMT, its a truck driving game). I have had other consoles as well but I have always been more of a PC player.

I consoles at home, but my brothers are always playing Black Ops with it, so I'm stuck with the PC and the Wii.

I only have sisters. Competing for use of a game console is a foreign concept to me.

Though, competing for use of a TV is not. And neither is competing for use of a computer, but we've all had our own for years now so that's no longer a problem.

After the N64, Nintendo should have left the console business, stick to makiing the games.

I always thought that having "360" in the name was to make the console sound older. PlayStation 3 came out around the same time, and I just think that having a name like "XBox 2" would have made it sound inferior to the PlayStation 3. The 360 part isn't necessary, I think its just a marketing scheme to try and beat the competition rather than a logical console name.

Like SimCity being followed by SimCity 2000, SimCity 3000, then SimCity 4.

That is what you call marketing, buddy!

Wii has the most sold consoles, above the 360 and the PS3

Well, in those days, slapping "2000" on the end of the name of something made it sound futuristic. I played SimCity 2000 on a Gateway 2000. Nowadays they just call themselves "Gateway".

"SimCity 3000" was then the next logical step and it works as a name. But "SimCity 4000" would have been ridiculous so they dropped the thousand part.

Though, in retrospect, it would have been simpler if they'd called the other games "SimCity 2" and "SimCity 3". I actually sometimes refer to them as such.

Ah, back when the year 2000 was the future... I think there's still a series of books in my hall's library called "beyond 2000".

2001 was less celebrated, even though it was the true start of the millennium.

Im a 360 fan, but wont try and convince others.

Also, i dont know about microsoft, but i love ACER. They hid a backup windows 7 on my hard-drive. So when my PC was killed by a virus, i just recovered it. If only my dads had had that, wouldve saved a hefty bill. Didnt even need a disc.
