Yes. And they already exist in the FLUPs pieces.

-Tarkus

No there's not. There are pieces to go under pedmalls but there aren't any pieces that let pedestrians go under roads or anything.

Actually, there are. All of the FLUPs underground pieces are pathed for most transit types, including pedestrians, and the 1x1 staircase piece (found by rotating the Street tunnel portals) allow access to the underground pedestrian paths.

Somehow, I am beginning to think that all this keyboard manipulation with the various puzzle pieces is getting to be an enigma on its own.

GLR in highway-puzzle pieces

And the ability to at least have turns.

With the RHW you can drag GLR in the median of your highways. You can also use the multi-highway trick to accomplish this for the MHW.

I don't understand your second request. Have you selected the Road and Avenue turning lane plugins or the TuLEPs in the NAM installation?

I'm just curious, will there be any NWM puzzle pieces that can work with RHW? (eg: overpasses, underpasses, etc.) and will there be a RHW 10 underpass soon as well?

Most (if not all) RHWxNWM crossings are planned for the next NAM release, but they're just with elevated RHW over ground-level NWM. You won't be seeing any sort of elevated NWM networks until after NAM 31.

Addntionally, every RHW network is being given an elevated version (actually, at least two elevated versions). (And it's 10S, not just RHW-10.)

Thanks for the info on elevated RWHs, but I was actually referring to the flexible underpasses. They only go under the Maxis Highway and not RWHs.

The existing FLUPs pieces can go underneath RHW networks--they've been able to since RHW 4.0. The pieces to do so are under the Road-RHW Interfaces button, on the Roads menu, at the end of the TAB Ring (hit Shift-TAB to cycle backwards through the TAB Ring and get to them quickly).

I was thinking maybe a slope mod could be made for the elevated networks, el-roads, el-avenues, etc. so they look smoother on bumpy terrain.

Slope mods do not reliably affect puzzle pieces, and in the cases where they do, the slopes from the network upon which the pieces are based are used. If you want a smoother slope on your Road/OWR/Avenue viaducts, try dragging the ground-level counterpart of the viaducts over the area where you're building the viaduct, then place the viaduct pieces.

Consider the following as well:

Since EAVEs, ERDs, and EOWRs are planned to be made draggable, they'll be based on their respective networks, and thereby be affected by the same exact slope mod that affects the base networks.

Slope mods affect the base networks, and not only that, the override networks that come from the same base networks. Put it this way: You can't assign separate slope exemplars for just the RHW-2 and RHW-4. The game sees it as the same network.

Conversely (and as Alex stated), puzzle pieces can conform to a slope, which is not desirable.

Hi! I've got a question: do you think it's possible to convert HSR/GHSR/Bullet train mods to heavy rail (instead of monorail), and use them with starter pieces? I love the monorail, but these two networks are really nice. Sadly monorail automata looks odd on these two and vicaversa.

It wouldn't be worth the effort, plus draggable elevated Heavy Rail is planned already. Can't guarantee it'll be NAM 31, though.

Haven't already done that one. Looks plausible, but it's unlikely to be in the next release. It'd most likely actually be classified as an RHW-4 Type A2 instead of an inside ramp, however.

RHW-4 B1 Inverted. It's been brought up countless times, and falls under the category of Inverted/TOTSO Ramps.

Can you do single sided overpass ramps for ground highway in the next NAM release?

Well, this hasn't been done yet due to the sheer number of pieces off all possible setups. The cosmetic pieces already have grown from 80 to 192 pieces! If we would add elevated cosmetic pieces to the mix, you'll get this figure.

- There are 8 networks: MIS, RHW-2, 3, 4, 6S, 6C, 8S, 8C and 10S

- There are 5 height levels for the MIS, RHW-4 and RHW-6C. The others have only three height levels. This means, that there are 3x5 + 7x3 = 15+21 = 36 networks.

- Each height level can be passed by each other height level. If we don't count the diagonals, we get 36x(4x3 + 7x2) = 36x26 = 936 possible crossings.

- I'm not even gonna start with the possible number of crossings if you count CPs to the mix, but you get the point...

Best,

Maarten

Is it possible to separate some types of puzzle pieces and starters? Particularly the transitions is hard to TAB button it to the MIS transitions.

If you tab in the Pedestrian Tile ring you will come to some forest trail pieces.  These might serve your purpose except you can't have any R lots facing them.

<snip>

Walking down them is probably not the best if ideas :P

Theoretically they are pedestrian mall tiles.  What's the matter, afraid you might run into a bear?
