OK, first Paul mumbling something about a group effort, now you... sneaky, aren't we? Well, whatever it is, given the persons involved it can only be awesome or better.

In any case it's good to see you're alive and kicking!

Will I get any special 3D glasses to see those bricks popping out at me? The detail is so intricate and impressive. Love the copper roof at the top. The texture is well done. :D

Very nice, starting to come together finally. The texture looks really good also. It's almost like each brick was modeled individually.

Yes, what is this mystery project everyone keeps referring to? Any hints? Is that why NYBATer's have been so quiet lately? *Trying to peak behind construction scaffolding*

Well the "big" project can't be the WTC, as Darkono has revealed he's working on it... Hudson Yards, perhaps?

    cmdp123789 - Thanks :D

    Schriefer - Thank you! :D

Sgt Pepper - Yes! With special dedication   Nice to hear from you and thank you for the comment :)

Hanson784 - Thank you :) Some of them are ;) Thank you for dropping by :)

    Darknono35 - Thank you very much! :)

unclesahm - I'm afraid you've got the wrong man ;) I rarely model something constructed after 1920 :)

    edwardjeria - Thank you :)

To all of you who asked about "mystery project" - I don't really want to spoil the surprise for you but most have probably already guessed that Paul and I work together on this one. We will post details when we're ready...but when that will be... I guess I leave it to Paul :D

I actually have new renders of University Club but since I'm not home I will post them just tomorrow evening when I come back. Although I already know that texture of brick wall for the rear of the building needs replacement, it worked fine when wall had windows but it doesn't look so good when there aren't any...

Love it! Looking like an aerial photo now and I can almost hear the turning of newspaper pages and crackling of the fireplace in the club lounge.

    Absolutely beautiful.

Another guess for the big project: the original Penn Station? I remember you started it a while back.

Great work so far! I look forward to seeing the finishing touches on this BAT, as well as the first pictures of the mysterious mega-project (which, if it's the one Paul mentioned the size of in his BAT thread, is almost certainly a combination of Grand Central Terminal, the MetLife building, and the Helmsley Building - though I'll say no more on the subject until the first pictures appear ;)).

edwardjeria - Thank you :) The roof garden is empty for the time being but I will add furniture and flagpole as the last touch :)

    Darknono35 - Thank you! :D

SimCoug - Thank you very much! :)

While I don't have new renders for you I have a question; it occured to me that I can experience some problems in the future when making The Peninsula Hotel. The problem is that the main cornice of the University Club overlaps onto the wall of Peninsula (I attached a photo). So, anybody have any ideas how to solve that?

Make tight LODs, as tight as they can be, on both BATs. Than for university club reduce the filling degree (I hope I'm not wrong with terminology). Basically you'll make that cornice overhangs and when plopped next to one another, because university lods will be in front of hotel, it should look right.

Now, Seraf, please take this the right way, but texturing is something that needs your attention now. Green roof and yellow thingy need serious desaturation and the facade is too white. Look at your picture that you have posted, it's much warmer color than. That come from ageing of the stone. It needs that yellowish tint to it.

You know your modelling is spectacular :D

You know, by the way you said that one could think that I'm going to eat you alive ;) By the "yellow thingy" you probably mean roof pavilion and yes, I will desaturate it :) I also don't have any objections as for desaturating its roof. But I'm not so sure about the facade, and this is why:

I spent a lot of time last year trying to get the color of the stone on facade right, it was tricky because the stone may have ten different colors depending on light, time of day and time of year. Also, some photos while they are good to look at in terms of geometry aren't really good when it comes to colors. The photo of which I posted fragment in my preverius post is an example of that. Here's the whole photo:

See how the white balance is abnormal. If I would have to pick I would say that this one shows much more accurate colors:

See my reasoning now? :) And thank you so much for the help with the LOD issue :) I'm sure it will help :)
