I have slightly modified the multi-RHW approach to the trumpet interchange because of commuter concerns in the future. The roads served by the RHW are still incomplete, but the interchange is:

Does anyone know if RHW over _____ (avenue, roads e.t.c.) plops are in the works? I have noticed on Patricius's image (which is very creative) that the RHW has to change to a one-way leaving that unsightly arrow until it gets over the other oneway at the bottom.

Im not sure what this kind of interchange is called, but here it is-- It serves the city of Monterey in my Dos Rios region (still largely undeveloped, Monterey included)

Nice pics. You should try the RHW. Just wanted to say that before haljackey.

Ramon Zarate? Are you a Tintin fan?

It looks like a strange variant of a parclo interchange. It would look better as an RHW, though.

wwetom1: Pretty good highway system. Creative use of Maxis interchanges.

pagenotfound: a nice compact parclo. As others have stated, using a highway or RHW will both improve the look and functionality of the interchange!

wwetom1: Very cool! Looks quite useful

Batdog: Wow! Very creative and useful! That has got to be one of the BEST RHW/RHW interchanges I have ever seen! Excellent job with the sloping, curves, well, EVERYTHING!

-Just add some eyecandy to that (parks, trees, etc in the interchange) and it will look fantastic!

mightygoose: Nope, Badtog's interchange is complete. The missing two loop ramps are replaced by the long outer ramps to prevent weaving. This creates a safe, modern interchange with no weaving at all!

you can make the interchange smaller by reducing the loop ramp radius and exclude the sloping curves. i built this as a concept to see if it would work and i plan to use it in one of my future cities. if you build the interchange be prepared for trial and error because one mistake can mean you have to delete part or all of the interchange and start over. Good Luck

Tell me about it.  Before the latest version of the RHW was released, hours of work could be instantly wiped out if I accidently demolished a certain tile or dragged a network too long/short.

Nowadays, the RHW is much more stable, but the MIS does take getting some used to.  Terrain is always a problem as well if you are trying to make it look as realistic as possible.

-In addition, getting the turns to curve gently can be a real hassle with the RHW curve pieces because you have to override the RHW-2 at each end to a RHW-4.

Just a heads up for all those trying to build these things!

Batdog:  Once again, a fantastic interchange!  Well done!

Yes but buddybud's underpasses are not UDI-compatible, and cars that you see enter one side of the underpass will not appear on the other.

-Thats why I do not use them, but they can be very useful for some players that want to sacrifice this aspect.

Thanks. 4.gif It's not from an actual CJ, just a test city. But I'm starting to play more again, so you never know, maybe I'll start/continue something. I do have a little project I havent shown anyone that I started a while ago, that I might get around to once I find the time to do some lotting.

s_olah: At the top of my list for most realistic looking interchange and freeway. It is simple but at least it doesnt look like a cartoon.
