I think that I more expect rhw features like 180 degree interchange one lane road turns. Just a thought. Some curved one lane roads that can be used for interchages.

It is not finished .. (almost). There is no traffic @ all on these images, but believe me, it was firstclass horror on my roads. So i decided to let some folks move elsewhere while i layed some big fat Highway (rhw) with some awesome intersections.

Ciao!

Frogface, that looks really good. It takes up a lot of space, but suburban interchanges like that normally do. I love it!

Well it toke a lot of work 2.gif, hours!

I'm gonna lotedit thos green things.

Also, here is another interchange, but one 1way rural to 2way rural. Because i hate those very wide corners of the current rural nam roads (and the very bad texture of curved pieces) i fixed this with a oneway road. This takes very little space 2.gif.

nice everyone. the sunken type highways and elevated land to lift the overpasses look very nice, but i'd imagine they'd be a pain to reproduce. I wonder if it would be possible one day to simply PLOP or copy and paste a bunch of these tiles to reproduce these large, intricate type interchanges without having to mess with all the puzzle pieces and doing all the dirty work..

also, more people should make use of the type c exits/entrance ramps this way cars have accel/decel lanes.

SC 4 + CS 1.6 = :]

Neotrezz, i liked the green banks the way they were. It had a British motorway look, they use a concrete 'honeycomb' as a retaining wall and grass etc. grows through the gaps to form a mat. If you could change the texture just to make it a little less dense / green it would look ace! I think the banks you have now look a little too artificial

I live in holland, this is more the way they look, but i have 2 intersections in this city, that one u mean does still excist.

They ruined the most beautifull part of my city but i im about to build that up again.

I have also made some fences with lampposts for the 2lane rural version.  But im about to think to integrate them just in the road based on the wealth. park wealth (set to $1) will produce those lamps around rural areas.

Ciao!

Wow, some wonderful work being done!  I got some replying to do!

Graeme L:  Nice first custom interchange!  I hope we can see more from you in the future!

frogface:  Absolutely amazing!  Wonderful cloverleaf, and it blends perfectly with the surroundings.  The blurred spots look a little weird in my opinion though...

Neotrezz:  Sweet!  Can't wait to see it finished!

Neotrezz: (2):  Another great interchange!  For realism's sake, try to make your curves more gradual (not sharp 90 degree turns).

Patricius Maximus:  A very unique partial y interchange!  The smooth curves just add a lot to the interchange, even if they aren't exactly needed 3.gif

frogface (2):  A cool trumpet!  Sloping could use some work, but its impressive that you have the guts to use sloping to begin with!

Neotrezz (3):  Sick!  Nice use of the lighting and props.  I like it 9.gif

if you move the exits on the far side carriageeay closer together and made the left to right highway tunnel rather than the terminating one you could make this interchange significantly more compact... great work though

This is what i saw in the official RHW topic

    85270602xj1.jpg

Is'nt that insane. When u come on the highway you have to rush in , but if the lane next to the accelerate lane is full you have to go straight on and try another round .. time after time 3.gif hahaha

Erzei:  Neat!  I like the gradual slope to it!

Patricius Maximus: Cool trumpet interchange.  Its a large one, eh?

Neotrezz/Patricius Maximus: Hey, that's my picture!  There is more to it than that though.  It was just posted there to show how you can make tight MIS ramps.

Here is the full interchange to show how it works:

As you can see, a new highway splits off here, and it is not your average "on-ramp".  I made it unique to fit with the unique settings.

More pictures can be found in my City Journal (link in my signature).  Check the new table of contents on the first post to find the correct update.

    Keep showing us your Interchanges!

The masts do fit in well, Haljackey.

Here is my second trumpet interchange. It is slightly more compact, and will serve traffic well:
