    Oh nice diagonal interchange Duke!

@Haljackey! Where in your gigantic region are they located?

Sadly, I lost a lot of work in my 'gigantic region' due to a "system restore" that I performed on my PC after I got some sort of malware. :(

Although, looking at the positive side,  it gives me an opportunity to remake stuff. Here's that bypass freeway's location to other built & planned freeways in this part of the region. This freeway wasn't there before, for instance.

I plan to fill in the area between the two mega-cities with something... could be lower desne stuff, farms, or another mega-city ;)

I would love to see the Haljackey version of suburbs and small towns. On the other hand, that flood valley between the two cities looks perfect for intensive agriculture, even rice fields.

Hmmm...in that second picture, I don't really think that that tall building really fits with all the farms.

What'cha talking about? It's a skyscraper that's ripe and ready to be harvested. :P

See? It's been plucked now. ;)

Zoom out for interest. I built a new bridge and the embankment forced me to move the highway alignment to the north. The east-west highway is controlled-access to the west, and becomes an at-grade expressway to the east. That's why I put the double-lane ramps aimed west.

Bonus pic: The area around that diamond got developed.

Well, that explains from where come all those skyscrapers on your cities: that one was already transplanted to a side of the diamond!

On a side note, I think you could get better results with the look of the ramps if you left an one-tile margin between them and the crops. In fact, some SFBT filler lots could do the trick to separate adequately the crops from the highway

Looks good, and I know it's meant to conserve space, but I'd keep the on ramps fractionally angled all the way.

Yeah I tried that, but them extra tiles though. I wanted that substandard urban interchange feel and this suited better to what I was aiming for.

You've got the right idea, but there are some imperfections to buff out. First off, you definitely need a slope mod. I'm not one who'd want to leap off one of those precipices just to get on the freeway. Some minor fixes would be to replace the light poles with those from Mandelsoft's LRM kit, simply because they look neater, and to make good use of FAR. :)

    Me, as always, overcomplicating things:

    7AbpQyk.png

This is a former T interchange that crosses a river and is mounted on a hillside, that became a 4-way interchange with a BRT roundabout and highway access inside it, cutting half hill and adding more brigdes on the process. The almost null traffic is because my main tile was poxed and is now empty, this is one of the traffic mitigation works that I would have postposed indefinitely if the pox hadn't striked.

Uh, internal ramps, that's hard to master! Maybe a recommendation would be to use L1 (7.5 meters high) everytime possible, particularly when no more crossings are needed. This allows for more compact interchanges and is more realistic (a fifteen meters high rural interchange is a very strange view, those heights are only used on heavily stacked situations)

Well, in strict sense only A is a partial Y, but I tend to think B is more useful, also using the otherwise lost track.

    Thanks!

I decided to keep it a partial y. Completed what I like to call my 'interchange triangle', comprised of 5 interchanges.
