With Traffic Generator Lots.

I use the Euro Traffic Generator located here.

Link: https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=16257

It has dependencies listed in the details

If you prefer the car in the game already, then use the American Traffic Generating Lots located here.

Link: https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=17000

I use them to show which directions traffic is moving in my shots, but you can also use them to check for problems in a route(as they will disappear in hordes if something is wrong on a road) or to see how traffic behaves when using the highway or road.

How do you get all that traffic on your freeways when there are no building around or anything? It looks so nice!

A long time has passed since anyone posted into this thread ...

DavidBrown:

Cool variant of a RHW x Highway connection. I also like the last two pictures with the highway endings and the not-yet-built-HW design.

Owaen:

Cool design with the different sunken / raised / double-sunken parts of this interchange.

Haljackey:

Always a pleasure to look at your complex and unique traffic networks. I also veryx much like the RHW 3.0 picture (ah, to finally lay my hands on this mod when it comes out ...)

Rymac91:

A fantastic 10-way Monster you did there 19.gif. I like the solution with the 3 interconnected loops. I also tracked every possible way, and you don't only get everywhere else, there is always the possibility to U-turn to the same highway.

TheChamp:

Interesting interchanges with nice layouts. Some details strike my eye though. Some road tracks are very bumpy, try to smoothen them out a bit. A slope mod may help you in that case (>linkie&lt2.gif. You might also be interested in Smoncrie's Hole Digging Lots. They help a lot when building tunnels.

If you don't use RHW 3.0 (which isn't officially available yet), then you will have some problems with your MIS connections. The MIS splitter can only be used with RHW2 on one side, it won't work correctly if you connect it to RHW4, because the two MIS road stubs have to go in opposite directions.

Nice work with the interchange on the previous page.

Ok, on to some new pictures.

I couldn't help it, but I had to give it try at a 12-way interchange. This time I wanted to keep it simpler and used mainly Maxis T-interchanges and NAM Y-stacks, forming two concentrical huge roundabouts.

With the next interchange, I wish you all a merry   ic_RHW_ortho_diag_2.jpg -Mas.

As always: Have fun 9.gif!

Thanks for the tips, McDuell. I actually started using a slope mod a couple of days ago, so my tunnels and ramps look much better indeed. I tried it before, in a hilly region, and the smoothing of slopes were really a nuisance when creating roads and rails over the hills.

I wasn't aware that the splitter was for RHW-2 only, I'll bear it mind for future interchanges.

Your work is stunning from an engineering POV. Though they are too massive to be convenient in a (sub)urban area.

Nice work with the Y-stacks and maxis highways.

We're all in hibernation preparing for RHW 3.0 2.gif.

McDuell, that looks wonderful. A little impractical, but great nonetheless.

Isn't the new NAM great?

partialinteryji4.jpg

There are some great new ramps included for the ground highways, such as the ramp that can be seen in this pic.  This exit ramp forms the beginning of a frontage road.
