  1. Show us Your Interchanges!

Nice work everyone! I got to get started
  2. Bravo Update! I play SimCity4 not CitiesXL. Does Citesxl let you make highways signs for your game, because I saw a few of your signs that were custom made.
  3. Chandler - The Beginning - Update 1

REPLY: jacqulina: Thanks and be sure to stay tune! As I promised..... UPDATE 2! The first pic is the same as the first few pics of the last update, but was taken many years later. Look at all the growth spreaded out in the northern part of Chandler! I just love my burbs.............! As we reach this highway We are prompted with the following sign: We are going to continue going west as the C- 17 terminates to a surface road. As more people move into the area healthcare and religion has become a must. Here is where the C - 17 meets the C - 52 With the anticipated sprawl jobs are a must. The portal to industry is here! ' So, I will leave you with this final picture leading us into our neighboring town of Safford, which will probably be for my next update. I know this was a long update, but I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did writing it. Please feel free to ask any questions or comments. Constructive Critsicism is always welcome. Until next time, - Shaylan
  4. Hey All, Welcome to Chandler, my 3rd CJ here on ST. I will hopefully stick with this one. I've decided to call this one Chandler. It started as a very small agricutlture town, but as you'll soon see it turned into a metroplis. Now onto the pictures. This is how it all started. That little corner of commercial businesses is the downtown. All it was back then was agriculture. We celebrated our First Fourth of July. Everyone went down to the Santee River to watch their neighboring city show off their cities fireworks. As you can see Chandler was a small town. Some folks liked it while others wanted it to become a sprawling area like Nyhaven. The city council soon met and tried to see what they could do to attract new families to the area. They figured that they could lower taxes and build better - high capacited roads. This was great news for CDOT. The were always ready to build. Within a few years they built a Highways C-52 and C- 17, which you'll be seeing the most of. Here are a few pics of what they came up with. That one is my favorite. The engineers sure do have good taste. Their plan worked. After these Highways and Interchages were built more and more sims started browsing the area. Next time, you will see Chandler and the results of what happened after they built the new roads. I hope you are getting a feel of what is to come. Please feel free to post any questions or comments. Constructive Criticism is also welcome. Thanks for viewing, Shaylan - P.S. There will not be any more pause boxes on my pics. They were taken before I got used to the camera feature.

  9. Building Realistic Cities

Welcome to Simtropolis. I suggest for the roads you download the NAM. Really good to use a must have in my opionion. Also the RHW is a good alterative on the stex. You can find both items here at ST or on sc4devotion.com and click lex, you must regrister for it. Also on SC4 Devotion, they have the CAM which provides variety buildings among the standard maxis ones. EDIT: The NAM can be found here: https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=851 The CAM can be found here: https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1008 The RHW can be found here: https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=853

  11. REPLIES: zurrabear: Thank you so much, your kind words and thoughts are greatly appreciated. It really just takes practice when making suburbs. citybuilder12: I'll see what I can do.
  12. Ryan's Highway Sign Workshop

Can I have 1 Interstate 15 to Chandler attached to Jct. for C - 52 & C - 17? You can just use a blank box for the " C" Highways. As for everything else, just regular green signs will be fine for my exits. Powerhouse Rd. Tanner Square Pkwy Glendale Ave. Chandler Blvd. Industry Lane Campbell Drive Baseline St. Park St. Southern Ave.
  13. Nyhaven: Views From Within (AIN)

My CJ can't touch the awesomeness of yours. See for yourself. You are really creative when it comes to designing your roads, and with the variety of buildings. Keep it up!
  14. Hi everyone, hope you guys didnt think I was done with this CJ because I am just getting started. Below are some teasers that will give you an idea of the neighboring city Chandler, a small, rural area. Please enjoy. The downtown area is really small a few shops and the clinic! I'm also trying to be more creative with my residential areas. Fourth of July! The next images will showcase some of my favorite well all of them that are located within Chandler community limits. Each of them are nice and unique in their own ways. The C - 52 at Beach Blvd. The C - 17 at Industrial Pkwy. This interchange was the busiest interchange that connected residential/commerce and industry until...... This happens to be my favorite interchange of all. This also handles the most traffic. These are my teasers for the upcoming update. Stay tuned folks. Here in Maricopa County, comments, constuctive criticism, and questions are welcome.
  15. REPLIES: Schulmanator Thanks alot. I'm a big fan of Shulmania zambones Simon Cowell beat out the other two canidates, so that automatically makes him sherrif. He will officialy be in office November 3rd 2009. Victor Valdes Thanks for viewing, and checking up on this CJ faithfully Dr.Aaron I thought about it, but it seemed like too much work, but since you asked, you will eventually see that in my future cities. With school back in session, you will see less updates. But one is coming this Weekend! Stay tuned!
