They say a picture is worth 1000 words... but what will words get you? How about 100 in cold hard cash? Sounds better? OF COURSE! So, while I am waiting to find out which of the two options I mentioned (new maps or new town?) you want (Hester voted for new town so far... our only vote), here's a Schulmania pic to inspire you. Perhaps worth more than even 100 dollars?

So, by a 1-0 vote (very light voter turnout this time!), we shall see Bastet City, a city in the South Sea District, just south of Wirdlington and northeast of Trixie Port. It is a Schulmania website exclusive feature and can be seen by clicking the picture below.

    basterteaser.jpg

    Enjoy!

In the biggest jump of the Olympics, Schulmania Volume 1, which has not been updated since 2008, has vaulted from obscurity on Page 23 of the CJ index to page 1. You are welcome to read Volume 1, but all new updates will continue to be here in Volume 2. If you are relatively new to Schulmania, you may want to give Volume 1 a quick read. After all, it's only 268 pages!

Hester It is distinctive, is it not?

Hester I am sure more than the Manx will come to this little isle on the coast.

    nathanthemayor I am jealous!

Lyhoko Leaci No sunscreen needed; I don’t tan and I have made peace with that. That’s maybe why I look younger than my age. Though I can’t seem to convince the waitresses that I deserve the kids eat free deal anymore…

Gn_leugim Ummm, geologically, the answer would be ‘very carefully!’ Those rocks do have a mind of their own…

Markus J Maxis’ port is not very nice but I needed a small one and that fit the bill.

111222333444 Maybe the Isle of Cat will do up a flag like that…

SimCoug You may have to wait a bit longer. I made an interesting discovery in game I will be featuring first.

    Hester Real ones?

Lyhoko Leaci Map will wait just a bit because of a discovery I made whilst in game…

    Gn_leugim You said it!

    Hester Je suis d’accord!

Hester As our only voter – YOU WIN!

    Schulmanator I like your $100 bill…

City_Master Thanks! It was just a ferry terminal and that’s it until I decided to upgrade it to a town.

Lyhoko Leaci Map is in the on deck circle awaiting the reveal of my discovery…

    111222333444 Awesome pawsome!

    Markus J Thanks!

emperordaniel Welcome back! Glad to see you here again.

SimCoug hehehehe. I had to do it…

emperordaniel It helps to have a reeeeeeeeeeeeeealy long pole!

    Hester Muchas gracias!

    NEWS TIDBIT

The new maps mentioned before in our lopsided 1-0 vote will be slightly delayed. I made an interesting discovery while in the Schulmania tile in game where the war is taking place. That discovery might impact the course of the war and/or its aftermath. It is not a particularly photogenic discovery but an important one nonetheless. I will show you soon and you can see for yourselves.

Let's just say this: what I am showing tomorrow is something that the game did... I didn't do it/intend for it to be there.

But in the Olympic spirit, I will try to get over it...

    OCCUPATION-ZONE-HEADER.jpg

    Battle Damage Assessment 2

    easterntheater03.jpg

After protracted trench warfare and heavy destruction, the Schulmania National Army’s V & VI Corps pushed into Chattering Hills, liberating it from enemy occupation. The charge included several Simtropolis citizens in our ranks, including LT Phillip de Purrton (VI Corps 12th Division 132nd Regiment), CPL Bigglesworth, LT Madcat Imvhozzi (same unit) and air support from the Schulmania National Air Force Meownicopter Squadron’s LT Nineeight and COL Michael ebba Leaci. As units moved in and secured the area, they made a disturbing discovery. The pictures from the Battle Damage Assessment report are shown below. They are unmodified from the in game pictures, though having them animated would make it more clear what we see.

    Radiation1.jpg

    radiation2.jpgradiation3.jpg

If the pictures are not very stunning, that’s because this is in-game radiation. It appears ground sites across the Occupied Zone may be contaminated with toxins and may be unusable once the war is over. This is a very disturbing turn of events and lends a new sense of urgency to the liberation of Schulmania.

EDIT: Click here to see a video of in game radiation: http://s189.photobuc...nt=a2140944.mp4

Simtropolis chews up direct links for some stupid reason, thinking that making them shorter is better.

And the land is chewed up in a different way...

    Hopefully it can be decontaminated...

Not good when the ground glows...

Hopefully meownicopters are good radiation shields.

Also, due to a change in Zukish grammar, my soldier name needs to change to "Michael jebba Leaci" in order for it to be grammatical... Pesky gendered words... (And why is "leech" of all things feminine?)
