Hi, manuelandrei,

Go to the photosharing site and copy the link to your picture.  Open the ST reply window and click on the taskbar icon that has a mountain and a sun, to the left of the Imageshack frog, top right.  Paste the picture link into the blank URL box.  If your picture is larger than 800x600, you will need to resize, which you can do to the left in the window.  Click OK, and your pic should show up in your message window.  That should do it.

Enjoy the forums.

Thanks Liv,

I was using the wrong URL to embed.

This is my latest creation in the demo. City called Aurelia.

I see so many nice all directional roads, but only square lots. Makes a very jagged finish. I hope they got Kodak's permission... Anyway, it looks kinda nice, but kinda basic. I might be persuaded to buy this if I keep seeing pics like this. Keep it up!44.gif

hehe of course they got Kodak's permission... and money!

that's called in-game advertising and companies pay top dollar to advertise themselves within videogames

I dont really understand the negative comments about this game. I do recognize some obvious visual flaws, but this is still stunningly beautiful.

The problems lie in some fundamental gameplay elements.

1. Curved roads are waay to angular and jagged. They need to be smoothed out.

2. Lots sizes in this game limit the whole scope of the game in such a way it's not even funny. It makes the game feel very stale and limits the realness of building your own hometown.

3. Textures could be better to be honest up close. Terrain is boring as hell. There just needs to be more little details here and there. The streets and buildings lack something. They just feel like cardboard cutouts in a way.

4. Not having mass transit kills.

5. Having half a game for a 40 dollar or more price point is disheartening. This type of genre should always be solo first.

6. Just alot of annoying little things from the trade/building prices..etc.

This is not a horrible game, but it needs some major help in the above mentioned to truly take off. From playing just 5 mins of Tropico 3 it reminded me of some things xl is missing. It's the little creative micro management things, the full of life little detail down to cracks in the roads an dinteresting sounds. I understand it would be hard to have textures combined with the type of depth xl offers compared to Tropico, but still the textures just looks so plain and boring compared to a game like Tropico. it just feels like a slightly better graphical update from city life at this point and I think this is what many others are feeling.

Im totaly agree with that.

I have play citylife for a while.

And the only diffrents i see is that the game hase more buildings too built and mass transite and it hase more color.

I think they use as basic citylife to start with.

I think that xl is an upgrad of city life, i see some similiar things thats compare to citylife.

ps(sorry for my bad englishand thats my problem)

I think the graphics are fine, the problem is as DARKO said it needs to be smoothed and the graphic bugs taken care off.

Also, more traffic and street options are needed. Mass transit is a let down for now cause i still didnt see anything from it.

I think you don't understand negative comments because here you can see only screenshots. Well, someone have already decided to leave the game and others still post comments on the official site and it seems that nobody from MC listen to those comments.

At the moment there's only one explanation for these bad comments: the game isn't ready to be sold. MC spent a lot of time in graphics (good think) but now there's no time to add new features in the game and these features will be available only with a subscription at the PO.

Found a cool perspective for screenshots, zoom all the way in and move into a building, the camera will shoot to the top/roof of the building and you can look around as if you were on top of the skyscraper looking around. Probably not new but I like it.

QUOTED BY 830point35: I dont really understand the negative comments about this game. I do recognize some obvious visual flaws, but this is still stunningly beautiful.

Monte Cristo, like GlobexCo said, spent too much time and too much money on the graphics. Then the time comes to add features and OH NO!!!, they stuff everything into thier lousy PO, all because they spent all of thier money. They needed to do that to make a little moola. And now that people hear that they have to spend 72 stinkin' USD a year for this, no one is gonna buy it.

BTW, I'm from Wisconsin. Ignore all slang for words.

Edited for derogatory bashing, and quoted swearing.

I bought it, so you need to change that to "no on" to one.

I really want this game, regardless of what people say.

If this a mere 10% of the game, then it's gonna be all okay.

And I REALLY want to see what people come up with for city journals for this game.

No city building game is ever going to be 'perfect' out of the box, but some of those screenshots look really nice 4.gif

Hoping to pick this up next week....

I'm sorry for my derogatory bashing earlier... I feel bad...

Anyway, I saw the new video, and there may be a glimmer of hope for it still. Maybe I'll buy it...

Again, sorry!

Right above this one 3.gif Sometimes, mine take a while to show up, too. But, about the pics, I love them! Looks like there won't be an issue with this aspect of the game.
