  1. Cities: Skyline; A new City Simulator Announced By Paradox

I think that we got your point already, thank you.
  2. Cities: Skyline; A new City Simulator Announced By Paradox

Alpha? Is there an alpha? Who do they trust besides themselves? My goodness you have issues. What's your problem? Colossal Order is giving it a try, and that can only be good for us. Yes, we have been disappointed many times before, but there's no reason to be negative at this point. Maybe, eventually, we get a worthy successor of SC4. The genre is not dead and we should be at least optimistic about this. But if you are not willing to accept other games than SC4, then please step aside and take your frustrations elsewhere.
  3. Indonesian-Australian Relations Downgrading

Poor you. And what are your favorite countries, then? Pretty much every country has dark episodes. Yours probably too.
  4. yeah it's hard to understand this policy: blatant promotion, banners, news, etc of SImCity is ok; links to a fundraiser page not ok. sellouts
  5. they uploaded a video of terraforming, it doesn't look bad for such an early stage in development
  6. Civitas, an interesting Citybuilder project

well I wouldn't say that they are censoring it but they are refusing coverage for this and similar city builder projects. Most of these projects will fail, that we know, but they could at least use some support from this community. Maybe one succeeds. Instead we only get more and more news, links, banners and s**t about a game that, as of now, has terrible ratings on amazon and metacritic. They sure are collaborating in shoving this thing down our throats. For the first time in 10 years the Simtropolis administrators are losing their impartiality.
  7. And what about all the links and coverage to SimCity? after all they are selling a product and asking for our money, too I know, it's not exactly the same, but I think that we could cut some slack to these people from Civitas. It seems legit or at least 100% city building related.
  8. Civitas, an interesting Citybuilder project

I'm pledging some money, too. Who knows, maybe it turns out to be what we were looking for and SimCity has obviously not delivered. Or maybe not, but still worth trying. Some coverage from the Simtropolis admins wouldn't be bad.
  9. I'm dying to hear this revolutionary idea...
  10. Is Cites XL 2012 worth buying?

Depends on what you're looking for. The next SimCity may be all about simulation, but still has, in my opinion, some things that I don't like. Plus, it may take another year or two to start seeing modding for the game. CitiesXL 2012 is all about graphics and designing cities, not simulation; the 3D graphics are awesome and seeing your city from infinite angles from above, skyline or street level, sunset or night time, it has no match. There has been an explosion of mods in the past months. From skyscrapers, to highway systems, many new types of housing, maps, modular stuff, etc. As OcramSeattle says, take a look at the mods at xlnation: http://xlnation.net/xlex Take a look at these two city journals to have an idea of what can be achieved with good skills: http://xlnation.net/content/recent-city http://xlnation.net/content/newburgh-nm-usa So, decision is yours. If you can afford it, I would go for CXL now and wait a little until modding kicks off for SimCity (which I assume it will happen, at some point)
  11. SimCity 5 trailer, in full HD.

beautiful, so you say. It's stupid to watch this trailer and be excited about it. You mention the old SC4 trailer. Don't you remember that it had NOTHING to do with the actual game? what the hell is the point of these trailers? Hold your horses, boy. I have yet to hear EA say this will not be a game for iPad or Facebook or a multiplayer on any rubbish like that.
  12. SimCity 5 Features and System Requirements

I think I'm going to THROW UP!!!! Check these buildings: http://www.simcity.com/en_US/media/screenshot/SimCity_Concept_Art_Police_Station ...childish and Sim City Societies come to mind Oh and don't be too stupid to fall for the trailer; remember the trailer for SC4?
  13. First Image of SimCity 5, from German magazine GameStar

yeaaaah!!!! SIM CITY SOCITIES 2!!!!!! oh, wait... wtf?
  14. Far East II

interesting update! this reminds me of Valerio Massimo Manfredi's novel, the empire of the dragons. I guess you have read it, right?

He's learning; he may be a bit hard headed and not listen all advices coming from expert BATters, but he's trying. Plus, his suburban collection may one day become a invaluable asset like Vanderaap's Dutch houses or Porkissimo's Paris houses. So, give the guy a break. And give yourself a break, too.
