You need the SKU version 638 game update, and the SC4udate4BAT.exe.

The game update is at simcity.ea.com, and the link to the BAT update is in the first post.

Well thats kind of dumb on their part...I mean the point of it only being available on the SimCity4.com was so you can't get the files if you have a boot leg version of SC4....you need a valid key to download them. And you also just made it known that someone could create a site similar to the STEX....copy everything off the STEX and tell Dirk to go screw himself. None of it can be copyrighted so it's all just an honor system....but thank fully the could not make money of it so what would be the point.

The site is not only for Mac users, no. You may download anything and use it from my file sharing site there. Just be sure not to download the two files that you have been warned about. Everything else will work just fine on Windows too.

Thank you for posting the update for BAT but could you perhaps help me with installing it? I have the Deluxe multi language version installed and tried to install the SC4Update4BAT.exe patch. It didn't work as it said I needed a previous update. I downloaded one from simcity.ea (the filename was UPDATE_SKU1_TO_P1_B638.EXE and it said it was for north america, the others didn't work anyway) and installed it just fine. Afterwards the BAT patch installed smoothly. but when I entered the game the lights still didn't work. Did I do something wrong or do I need another patch or something? Please help if possible.

Well I can't seem to get any cooperation from maxis so I'll try here. I'm trying to get the files available for download on the maxis site but can't register my product. I looked at the link on the first post but it said that it was for mac users only. Also it didn't seem to have everything (such as the lot editor). Any help that anyone can give me would be appreciated.

There's a lot of stuff there, so it's easy to get confused.

Just to reiterate, since the other explanatory post is getting buried, all of the files on my sharing site (see link in my sig) work on Mac. Two of those files are not for Windows and will likely screw up the Windows version of the game!!! <--emphasis for safety sake. Windows users, DO NOT download graphics rules.sgr or SC4_RH&Deluxe_Pre2PostUpdate...blahblahblah...zip.

Lot editor is there! Look carefully!

Hi Zelgadis I downloaded the lot editor for windows but after installation which was fine it didnt want to work for me going into program not responding when loaded up. Ive got a fairly standard laptop and wondered whether i needed anything special to make it work

Penguin: How long did you wait? Depending on how big your plugins folder is and how fast/slow your computer is, you may have to wait for a very long time for it to come up. Takes about 10 minutes on my computer to load, and it does say "not responding" for awhile during that time.
