  2. Directory Mystery of SC4

just reading some very old posts... By DarkMatter on February 5, 2004: "Exemplars, in SimCity 4, are data files that define everything in the game, from the behavior of the traffic simulator to how demand works at the lowest level. Properties and the exemplars they are used in are the most important tool of any modder." Another website was talking about how you could amend the exemplars... "The Exemplar Editor allows you to edit values in building and lot exemplar files, similar to the Comparer. But with this tool, all properties are displayed in an easy-to-use tree view, and there's also a small information line where every property and the range of possible values are displayed." Could that be what the Exemplar folder holds or its purpose??? Idk...

  9. Prop 8

and also, as a resident of California, I noticed that the main debate boils down to this: is marriage a right/privilege? The pro-8 say no...it's a God-gift type thing. The anti-8 say yes because under legal terms, it is a right/privilege. In other words, your RIGHT/PRIVILEGE to marry could be upheld (no clue in what circumstances...maybe when you are in prison???). Depending on what side one is on, the California Constitution may not apply: "(b) A citizen or class of citizens may not be granted privileges or immunities not granted on the same terms to all citizens." if marriage is a right/privilege, then it must be given to all citizens of California...if it is not, then...well, the CC is irrelevant... and also...what makes me sad is that the Mormon Church and many churches raised so much money to fight this in California...yet, they could not (for some reason) do the same to fight poverty, and other injustices...I'm not saying that they don't whatsoever...but it would be nice to see them having the same passion and effort to fight more grave issues at hand. TO SALTANDSAUCE: don't be fooled that the Church and State are separated...if so, then why is a prayer given before every Congress meeting/session? And also, just look at the back of your cash...it's not hard to find them together in American society...there's a joke out there saying that the US of A is more religious than the Vatican City itself!
  10. Prop 8

and speaking of religion, recalling from my high school days in a Catholic school, the Catholic Church actually does not strongly condemn homosexuality. In fact, they allow gays/lesbians to be part of their Church...and there is this organization sponsored by the Church (can't remember what it is called) for Homosexual Catholics. So I just wondered why so many Catholics despise homosexuality, when the Magisterium and the Pope say otherwise... ...I am not a Catholic, and this is a few times when religion classes actually helped me in life...so if there is a Catholic who wants to correct me, go ahead.

  13. The Role of Various Countries in World War II

Or should it be said that it was in fact Hitler (and Tojo) that saved Europe? If it wasn't for Hitler's mistake of suddenly going against "neutral" Russia instead of pursuing Great Britain, and Japan's bombing of Pearl Harbor (excuse for US to enter the war), then what situation would we be in now? However, this argument should not be taken to strongly mainly for the fact that if we keep this up, then basically it would spiral down to, say, what panthersimcity4 typed about Carthage...what if Carthage won? Then Europe during WWII would be saved! (which is, of course, true, but stupid...)...I just felt like adding my two cents as part of my donation to the needy...and as panthersimcity4 should know (according to his signature): "for it is in giving that we receive"
