Silly question, are you using disc 2?

According to the error mesage you posted, they aren't. Try opening the grayscale in a photo editing program and converting it to a 8 bit grayscale, then save it as a jpg.

The grayscale.jpg is not the right size for the config.bmp. The ratio of the grayscale to the config is 64:1, plus 1 pixel on each side of the grayscale. My guess is you need to resize the config.bmp.

Post the error mesage, or describe the what you are doing in detail.

Make sure you have the config.bmp file in the region folder before trying to render the map. The correct size, and ratio of the the grayscale.jpg to the config.bmp file is 64:1, plus one pixel. If you create the region with the game it uses the default config.bmp, which is 16x16 pixels.

Have you tried running with the game software option for the graphics?

Chances are if you do find it, it would cost more than buying the Deluxe version. I think amazon.com has the deluxe version for less than 15 USD.

Have you extracted the game files from the zip file you downloaded, and placed them in the documents plugins folder?

When you select the jpg image make sure the file name appears in the selection box below. If not, you will need to type the file name in that box.

I think you are in the wrong forum. Although, I don't know what game the image came from.

If you have a Microsoft mouse, update the driver, it will let you increase the curser speed. Other brands may have the same type of driver.

You can copy all of the progam files from the CD, but then you need to try to get the game installed so the registry keys are entered.

Your plugins won't make a difference, unless you make alterations to the city. Then your frend won't have the plugins you used in the city. To make sure rename your Plugins folder to something like old, or test. When you start the game it will make a new plugins folder, after your done delete the new plugins folder, and rename the old one.
