@ Marsh - some of these BATS were recovered from Nofunks old machine, so were nearing completion and THANK GOD, love the Cadilac tower, I think it will be your best yet!

It's not perfectly the same style, but it's close enough. And it's all 2x2, so Finch & Co. really provides a good opportunity to sneak some jobs into a mostly residential area without standing out too much. I like marcszar's NY-style buildings a lot, too, but they are rather dark and grimy and don't really go too well with most NYBT or BSP stuff... which is a pity, because otherwise they rock.

So, as some of you know, I have been working on Cadillac Tower off and on for almost 6 years! It's gone through no fewer than four attempts, and countless hours of tweaking. Finally, after so many years... finally... Cadillac Tower is IN THE GAME!!!

Only there's one small problem...

I know this is a pretty common error, right? Although I think I've only seen it once before on my projects. I thought the solution was to re-export, but I've done that now twice, and I keep getting the same error.

Does anybody have any insight? I'm sooo close to finishing Cadillac Tower!

For your problem it comes from a bug of the sc4BAT, there is a fix developed by EA games itself, you can find it easily on devo if I well remember

Problem is, I think he made these models in BAT4MAX with 3DSMax, not the BAT/gmax. And actually, the problem you're thinking of is one where the IDs assigned to a BAT ran over top the IDs assigned to Maxis models (or something like that), which caused user made models to display as 'random patches of Maxis'. I'm not really sure what's happening to Cadillac Tower, but it looks like something completely different. Disregard that, it seems I was wrong!

I wish I knew how to fix that myself. Jasoncw is very literate in the program, so hopefully he can help you. Or else, I hope SimFox comes out of hiding soon!

That was the issue! Thank you so much for cluing me in!

I recently reinstalled SimCity4, and never reinstalled the update for BAT. I didn't realize that the update modified the actual SC4 program files.

All's well, and we're back on track!

Epic stuff on that new BAT, The rendering and the lighting is great and that NIKE add is very cool , it's so elegant, I applaud you for all that hard work you put in this project, Bravo !

Hey everyone!! Thank you all so much for your amazing comments and ratings of Cadillac Tower!!! It means so much to me, and shows me that all the time I spent on it was truly worth it!

So, a BATer's work is never done, and I've been working on my row houses! Does anyone actually remember these?

I'm still testing them in the game, but they should be coming to a STEX near you very soon!

In other news, this may be the most productive I have EVER been. There are years where I've put out more BATs, but I don't know if I've ever put out so many, so fast!

Those look stunning. The only other rowhouses I own are by marcsazr and Aaron Graham, and as beautiful as they are, there can never be enough of them!

Also, I placed your new Cadillac tower in game along with 333 E Chicago and Finch & Co. and they all look lovely in their spots downtown. I especially love where Cadillac Tower sits near Merchandise Mart, with the billboard facing the tracks and main street so it's read clearly as you drive under the tracks. I imagine it as a great monument to behold as Sims cut by downtown on the Interstate as well.

I was treated to seeing a billboard other than the NFL add on the side of Cadillac...you snuck a random prop family in there, didn't you?

You've been so wonderful to all us loyal 'fans' recently, it's truly touching to see how much you care about us. I really don't know how to express my gratitude enough.
