Welcome to Alicante City!

alicantecitypromo1oo5.jpg

I've finally decided to upload a cj here to the Simtropolis site, one that I'm actually working on... Unlike my last attempt here Arcane Island. Hopefully this cj will gain the support that the last one recieved. I have decided that since St Marque Inlet became unusable, due to various reasons, I decided for simplicity sake to make this an add on of the SMI journey. To all those that followed SMI for the last 16 months and through the 770 posts and 20,000+ views, I hope you also continue to support me and my new cj.

I will return soon with updates and information...

Those who aren't familiar with the St Marque Inlet cj... feel free to go and have a look at it...
St Marque Inlet

Enjoy!

To refrain from makeing a four word reply like "wow it looks great" to write something more worthwhile. It looks very glittery i like stuff thats glittery. I look forword to your future updates.

Also to note yet kindof off topic, this is my first fourm post since my long dormancy yay for me!!!!

Wow... what a huge response... I am truely overwhelmed... Thank you all for such a fantastic start to my City Journal. Now to start thanking people...

6underground ... Thanks for the comment, first comment score to you as well.

jbbry232 ... Thanks for the comment. Glad to see you still around and active too, an honor to have you post in my city journal. Development is underway and moving really quickly... updates are on the way soon.

TheDancinZerg ... Good to see you are back, I hope your presence around here continues. Thanks for the great comment too, I appreciate it. I'll keep the glittery idea in mind 9.gif

magpieshooter ... Thanks for the support. it's good to see a few SCJU Members here.

dale_bel ... You won't have to wait much longer my friend, an update is on it's way soon.

sloppet... Another long time Member of ST... glad to see a familiar faces still about the place. Thanks for the comment, I knew I had to build on it when I first saw it, although I had to terraform the hills and mountains by hand.

Shadow_Assassin ... Thanks. I look forward to further ties possibly with Savannah City once Alicante City is up and running more smoothly.

jacqulina ... Always a pleasure to see you commenting and giving support.

hammo ... Thanks, such a nice comment. I hope it can become a favourite of many people. I also look forward to further ties with Mazun when it is up and running.

jarnomiedema ... Haha... thanks, I dread to think what will happen with every update, although I'm sure people will like my choices of pictures. I hope that Chaumont will continue to prosper and lift itself out of it's current State of Emergency.

bat ... Thanks for the comment. I hope to one day make it to your signature.. 9.gif

Muzz ... It's an honor to see a post from you here, i hope i don't disapoint.

tag_one ... I'm going to try... Thanks for taking the time to post.

CDI_spy ... Now now my friend, all in good time... not much longer to wait, I promise. I hope we can continue our support of each others Nations as we did when SMI was still going.

Mr Piggy ... Thanks for the awesome comment, I appreciate it. I didn't realise so many people visited SMI... I guess the fact that only Members could post meant it recieved less posts than I'd like. I hope this is just as good too.

mightygoose ... Thanks... only a new Member and with comments like that, I think I'm going to look forward to your future comments... Might have to name something after you... 3.gif

patfirefghtr ... Thanks for the support, I appreciate it.

GMT ... Wow... another Golden Oldie... Glad to see your face still about the place. Thanks for the faith, I hope to live up to your standards.

ginchael ... Haha... another long term Member... Thanks for the comment. I hope that your time in the SCJU is something to look forward too.

jglei701 ... Thanks for the kind words. Keep checking back.. you'll never know when I will update...lol

slann ... Hmmm.. An unknown Member... hehe... i look forward to working more closely with you and Dominea Mr. President. Thanks for the comments.

gerAndi ... Ahh... if ever someone was looking for a great friend, you are truely the one to turn too... thanks for all the support over the last year and a half.... and essecially with SMI. I look forward to your comments.

Weird ... Thanks forthe reply... Development is on it's way... Just a little longer wait. Keep watching.

Energy Monkey ... Thanks. I don't think anyone has used this map before. If any one is wondering it is based on Panama City in Florida, US.

hamsterTK ... Thanks... your one word comment is sweet and simple. Thanks for taking the time to post though, I appreciate it.

Fabiocb ... Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I've only just recently been turned on to your city journal with your possible entry into the SCJU. I wish you best of luck with your Cj and with the SCJU.

Thanks everyone else who came to look and didn't post... There is an update on the way in a day or two... hopefully not too long away.

Just let everyone know as well that Alicante City - St Marque Inlet is on the SCJU Wiki site... feel free to browse and leave a comment here if you like... The link is below my signature.

    Once again thanks everyone.

Thanks for the comment eggie99, I am so happy with the Region so far and how construction and sprawl is going... So far population of almost 300,000... But more of those fats later...

For now, I'd like to show off some of the eye candy and the visually aesthetic areas of the City that enforce a greenery around the City centre and makes for a truly beautiful view from almost every window in the downtown so far...

First up... on the East side of the City, making up part of the Eastern green belt, is the Alicante University. Founded in 1910, it is the oldest university in the Nation. Alicante University is also a direct supporter of the the SCJU Baccalaureate Organization.

Alicante Zoo, once home to many animals of different species, now houses a variety of birds and reptiles from the local Asia Region. A new much larger zoo located away from the heart of the City is under construction and will house the many animal species in a better environment than the City can offer.

Once home to Lady Winterton, one of the wealthiest citizens in the 19th century of St Marque Inlet, Winterton Castle is now a well known culinary school that trains some of the best chefs to emerge from St Marque Inlet. Lady Winterton also donated a large area of land adjoining the castle that is now known as Winterton Conservation Reserve, a huge tract of land that is easily accessible to the many residents of Alicante City.

I hope you enjoyed this first update... many more are on the way, including many construction pics, development and transport, as well as civic and more parks that make up the heart of Alicante Cities central business district...

    Thanks and as always... Enjoy!
