About This File

Not a square, but a circle, Niagara Square sits at the intersection of Delaware, Niagara, Genesee, and Court Streets. Although it has changed somewhat over time, it is still an original piece of Joseph Ellicott's original street layout of Buffalo, based on L'Enfant's Washington, D.C. layout. Dominating the center of the Square is the McKinley Monument. A 96' tall obelisk made from Vermont marble.

The Square exists today as the de facto center of the City of Buffalo, directly to the front of City Hall. Therefore, it is the site of many protests, demonstrations, vigils, and various civic events. The McKinley Memorial also serves to beautifully accentuate City Hall.

Included in the package are six lots, ranging in size from 1x1 to 6x6. My intent was to provide a lot for each possible circle configuration in SimCity 4. (see included jpeg images). The real-life square occupies an area roughly equivalent to a 6x6 lot. See the Readme for details.

Lots are built as a park, and therefore have park and landmark effects similar to that of the large plaza.

I know. Kinda funny how it's all "2 thumbs up" yet there's a "4" somewhere in there. Whoever rated second, I've been tracking these for feedback. Intentional or accidental, I guess it showcases the shortcomings of the lot rating system.
