This is my first BAT I'm submitting on STEX.
As a hobbyist, I am interested in BATing buildings that can be found in singapore, as I am a Singaporean. I realise that there are many BATs out there that are modeled of real-life buildings, but very few are from Singapore. So I decided to try to BAT them.
In game description:
The gateway is a skyscraper complex of two 37-story towering commercial skyscrapers which are located in the downtown core of Singapore, which are designed by renowned architect, I.M Pei. Other firms, such as Chua Ka Seng and Partners Chartered Architects (CKSP), and T.Y Lin Structural Engineers from San Francisco collaborated on the project. The buildings are shaped trapezoidal, which gives the towers its distinct sharp edges and corners. However, though the architecture is described as “world-class” by the National Library Board, and like the Bank of China tower in Hong Kong which Pei also designed, the building is said to create bad feng shui due to its sharp corners. Thus, a building project just across the avenue which the gateway is located at, Duo residences, has to be designed in such a way to rechannel the ‘qi’ from the gateway, while preserving some of it.
This file is only a landmark version, of 8*7 land area. I may make a commercial version in the future, but guess that will happen if i receive good response from this BAT.
