So, here is my first Bat :)

 

Hope you like it. I think I will have to make some more german style houses with a red roof so the school fits well in the city.

This is an outstanding first Bat. The mix of old main building and modern expansions makes it extremely realistic. Makes me wonder if it is modeled after a RL school. And you didn't stop here. The lot is richly detailed and proves your talent in all areas of creating custom content.

The only thing I'd like to add is: If this is your first, then I sure hope it is NOT your last. :) It is obvious how much thought went into this in addition to the immediate BAT/LOT skills, and it is admirable how much you achieved with a very reasonable set of dependencies.

 

It would be great if you could update your description to contain links to the dependencies.

Nice work for your first BAT, that's for sure. I especially like the setup of the lot.

But I noticed some ugly 'tearing' in the model of the main building, it can best be seen when activating the education data view,

but it's also noticeable in normal view, depending on the zoom stage.

Maybe it's just on my computer, but I wanted to let you know.

- yes, it's after a RL building: Peter-Vischer-Schule, located in Nürnberg

- yes, its my first BAT or BAT-project. It was really good for learning modeling. Took me 4 month.

 

@requestet: Do you mean the 'tearing' at the two copper-things on the roof? If its something else and other people have that too, then I`ll have to rerender it or I don't know. (It's done with HDoutput/medium-quality-> this could be the reason. hm.

Next I want to make maybe some (diagonal) houses and a pencil-factory.

Tearing might be the wrong term, what I mean are some sort of lines going through the model and even through the air above it. I see them often on various models/lots, but they're much more prominent here. I made some screens to illustrate, but I don't know how to show you. I'll find a free hoster, give me some minutes :D

Congratulation for your first BAT, it's beautiful and very interesting to add an high school in the game ;)

Like others members, I hope, this is not your last upload on the STEX :) and you should open a thread on the forum, and show us your progress, many members can help you and give advices ;)

 

But, good job, man I give you 5/5 and encouragement for the next ;)

@requestet:  ah, okay, thank you for the screenshots. Hm, I don`t have these stripes. Maybe you switched to desktop during the game? On my pc this causes always some graphic bugs. And if not, then I really don't know how to get rid of these lines.

These stripes could also be the consequence of antialiasing. I always had horizontal stripes not unlike these as long as I had hardware AA activated in my gfx card driver. Switching it off removed the problem.
