About This File

This BAT set includes a large telecommunications tower prop, guy wires, and a transformer at the base of the tower. The lot is intended to be placed on flat ground, but with a little work in lot editor, you can get the props to conform what is required. Whatever you do with them, I hope you enjoy the props!

This will be great atop large hills, surrounded by forested areas, or flat farmlands. I love the detail as well. 6/5.

The only thing I have to complain about is the preview picture not showing the base. Otherwise it's great.

Reminds me of somewhere on the Iran/Turkmenistan border. Near that sea. What was it called again? Cas... something or another. Anyway good work, a picture of the base would be nice. Maybe with a RU or US flag and a Growler :P. Does it fall over once it gets to 15 tickets?

Fortunately, it doesn't fall over. However, aside from attracting various electromagnetic frequencies, the tower also serves as a magnet for snipers. Weird, isn't it?

Caspian Border? Yeh, this is like another one of those BF3 things :P

Awesome! Can't wait to kamikaze some Su-35s into this thing :D

This would be great for early warning systems in my mountain bases!

And 10000000000000, why waste some perfectly good Flankers? A cruise missile will do the job just fine :P

You know, I think my 120mm gun will do just fine against those birds. In the meantime though, those snipers are still atop the tower, and this time one of them almost hit something!

Nice, but rather undocumented.
How about adding some building stats to this page and perhaps a readme file to the installer?
Which menu is it in?
What is the cost of maintenance?
What is plop cost?
What is the bulldoze cost?
What resources does it require?

Just tested this. It has a 4 x 4 footprint but it has a 12 x 19 span and will take up one grid square over that area in each of three places.

It is in the Police menu (funny spot) with an unintelligible label.

Overall , it needs a lot of technical fix up.

I am not sure the residents of my city appreciate finding the foot of the guy wires in their pack yard.

I think it is bizarre, but useful.

Correction. 19 x 19. Four feet, even outside the limits of the city edge. Really needs to define its footprint. I am afraid I am going to drop it.

Very nice indeed, but....... The wires are not attached to the pole, and/or badly adjusted, that part doesn't look so good in the game. Also the file is quite big. And why is the model in three parts?

Unfortunately I had to render it in separate parts. For whatever reason (maybe it was too large) but I could not render the thing all as a whole model, it always crashed BAT. This can be fixed though with a little work in lot editor, so don't complain about it (and this is to everyone, not really you), I am busy with life/school, so if you have come here to complain about little problems that can be fixed in lot editor, just don't. There is no use in doing so, because they won't be fixed. I had barely enough time to upload this model, so don't complain, because I won't fix them. No one is forcing you to download this BAT, so quite frankly, I don't care if you don't want to, many of the problems can be fixed by firing up lot editor.

Regarding the "string spacing", which I assume you mean guy wire spacing, the cables are to scale in both gauge and length to many towers. There is one tower in my area with an even larger footprint than this, and it's around the same height. If you don't like it though, you can always just omit the guy wires as they are separate props.

Cool down bipin, I didn't complain, I just wanted to say what was wrong with it for me. I will try to fix it with LE, if possible. Forgive me if you understood my comment differently.

No no, don't worry, I wasn't really complaining to you, I probably shouldn't of put what I said after the quote, sorry if you misunderstood who this was directed to. I just get pissed off with needless, petty comments about other little things that, if people took the time to fire up LE, would be fixed.

I don't know if I've done something wrong, but this Tower is HUGE!! Maybe I'm just being a bit thick, but it seems to be vast!! Is it supposed to be as big as the sky?

It's supposed to be like one of the supertall telecom towers you see in remote areas of the world. This BAT was actually made for my own city, which is a remote island.
