About This File

Moorhead House

This is the first BAT of my City Centre Series: a series of BATs to add to the variety of town and city centre 'fill in' areas. No need for a flashy name... these aren't flashy buildings in the main. The series is on-going and never ending (probably/hopefully/maybe). I'll mostly be basing them on buildings from UK cities, but I'm not going to limit its scope to British buildings.

Moorhead House is a small wall2wall corner building with retail on the ground and first floor, and student accommodation on the upper floors. To the side is a smaller shop. It is designed to suit small town high streets or the genetic city centre spaces of larger cities.

The building can be found in real life in the city of Sheffield, England at the top of the Moor shopping precinct.

This download includes a growable and a ploppable version of the same lot. It also contains both standard Maxis Night and DarkNite models. Make sure only one of the model files is in your plugins as the game reads them as the same file. Full installation instructions are in the readme.

The DarkNite model is best used with SimFox's Day'n'Nite Modd, found here

Selected stats (more in the readme):

Jobs : CS$$ 79

Tileset : Euro – stage 3 (Growable only)

Lot size : 2x2

Plop Cost : $4350 (Ploppable only)

These lots were modded using PIM-X to get correct-for-the-game stats.

this is fantastic psander, such an interesting and realistic back half to the building. Great medium size as well; buildings like this add a huge amount to cityscapes (long live your series!)
