About This File

G'Day Simtropians,

Today I wish to present a map of Gogledd Cymru or for the rest of us who can't speak Welsh, North Wales. Thanks to Samerton for requesting this map. This is the eastern side as North Wales is a little large to fit onto one map. And it runs to the border of England.

See this map up CLOSE and personal.

This is a scale and terrain accurate real world map, It was produced with DEM and satellite data. It's in 16bits and .SC4M format. it requires Wouanagaine's mapper or terraformer to import it into one's game.

A readme is included containing instructions and links.

I think that's all.

Cheers

Thanks for your comments and info Marakh. Sounds like a great holiday. I can do a map of Holyhead for you, no trouble at all. About a couple of weeks. It was no shame I missed Liverpool, I meant to. Thanks and cheers. ;<)

Sine you've uploaded north wales, i'd like to request south wales, particularly parts of the valleys near "Merthyr Tydfil".

Merthyr Tydfil used to be the largest city in wales (very iindustrial) In 1800 Cardiff was a fishing village with a population of around 2000

Markah: Merthyr was never a city, it just expanded rapidly due to the iron and coal. It's a bit rough now, but it's not the town I'm interested in, rather the geography.

YorkshireLlama: No, it's around the bend from Liverpool, east of Anglesey (Liverpool would be off the top-right corner).

Thanks Jim Sure I can make you a map of Merthyr. Wasn't it something to do with having a cathedral, whether it be a city or a town? and yes YorkshireLlama Liverpool is just off to the top right although there is a fair chunk of the west bank of the Mersey. Cheers and thanks.;<)

That's what used to happen, but from what I know, the nearest cathedral has always been in Llandaff, Cardiff. Thanks for taking your time to do this map for me. : )
