  1. Update Three | Rural Callamesia

Looks amazing. Love the massive mosaic! Only problem being that 1976 is in the 20th century, not 21st, but otherwise great entry.
  2. Tropico 4: Developer Q&A

I enjoyed Tropico 3, but I hated the $%&^! road system, which either went off in sporadic directions, or wouldn't build on a slope with an incline of 1:100. I hope in Tropico 4 they've fixed it.
  3. Who are your International Neighbors?

If you include the different countries within the UK, as well as independent countries, being from North Eastern England, in order of closeness, here are my neighbours: 1- Scotland 2- Wales 3-Northern Ireland 4- Republic of Ireland 5- France (Channel tunnel is a nominal border)
  4. Consumerism

I consider myself lucky, on the advertising front, coming from the UK, which has (on average) 7 minutes of advertising per hour. This compared to France's 9 minutes, Germany's 12 minutes, and New Zealand's 15 minutes, and the fact that we have the BBC, which, as well as screening good-quality programmes (well, at least most of the time.), has no adverts. So even living in my comparatively almost advert-less world, i'm still infuriated when i watch ITV (which isn't very often, admittedly. lol), and see the ratio of show to advertising, so i feel really sorry for those of you who don't live in the UK.
  5. The Center

wow. just wow. That last picture of the Hong Kong Skyline could be mistaken for a photograph!
  6. Gogledd Cymru, Samerton's Stomping Ground.

looks cool as hell! is this just west of Anglesey?
  7. Sakura City (Part 1)

wow! you really seem to have put a lot of effort, and research into this region. You've done a good job creating a "Far Eastern" atmosphere in Sakura.
  8. London - 1968

Wow! I'm genuinely impressed, it looks amazing! By the way, where did you get the BAT for those semi-detatched houses? looked all over the STEX, but with no luck, and would love to include them in one of my UK Middle-Class suburbs
  9. East Prattsville

Real good CJ! love the "small town" American atmosphere of it all. Just a thing to note, i come from Britain, and here, the word "Pratt" is a mildly insulting term, meaning "idiot", or "fool". so i always chuckle when i see "Prattsville, Mount Quoio" at the top of your CJ! lol
  10. The Old City - Part II

It looks very good, but looks more like a hybrid of many other British, and European cities, than Bristol. But who am i to talk? i've never been to Bristol; hell, i've barely been out of North Yorkshire!
  11. Burton

Great city! i really liked the "middle class suburbs," thought they looked very much like a British suburb (especially with the cricket pitch!) However, i thought the last 2 pictures (while very good) looked a little bit too "European". But, on the other hand, i'm just from a village in North Yorkshire, so i'm not the best person to talk to about city centres! Also, it'd be cool to included a council estate, or something like that, in your city, it would make it even more realistic than it already is.
  12. Al Adjidaai Strip

Love images 7, 8, and 9, with all the construction going on, and the finished road-system, without "filler" (like parks and stuff). Looks a really good, realistic, developing city.
  13. Transportatiion

City Journals is about documenting, showing, and further explaining, your cities made in SC4/ Cities XL; Not just putting images from real-life, and explaining the imaginary city. Sometimes, yes, images from external sources (i.e. from outside SC4/ Cities XL), and various statistics, help explain the city you're documenting, but the majority of your images should be made up of screen shots from in-game
  14. Canal Set

Could you help me? I've downloaded it, but it just appears as brown boxes. Are there any dependencies? If it helps i'm using the original SC4 (i.e. w/o rush hour) thanks. (Also, by the way, they look really good in the screenshots!)
  15. Eurovision Song Contest 55

To be honest, i'm kind of glad the other countries have taken Eurovision less seriously (i mean, hell, here in the UK, i don't think we EVER took it seriously!). I thought last night was hilarious, the Family, and i just watched Eurovision, making remarks, and choking ourselves laughing! I wasn't really bothered who would win, to me, at least Eurovision is just about sitting in your living room, with your family, and having a laugh. The music is godawful though, but, at least it's so bad, it's funny! Still, i miss Terry Wogan on Eurovision, thought he was hilarious, when he'd had a bit too-much whiskey
