About This File

This set functions like V2 (requires use of the "setsealevel" cheat) but is different (and better) due to the following features:

1. The use of prop family IDs for the ortho_1x and diag_1x lots to avoid the repeating texture problem when building long stretches.

2. Resized prop exemplars which allow mayor-mode flora to be placed on the ground (grass) section of the diag and ortho-to-diag pieces.

3. A new texture.

All the details, list of lots, how to use, etc. ... are in the readme file. Please read.

1. Lots are located in your Landmark Menu near or at the bottom.

2. All lots have minimal Landmark and Park effect.

3. Plop Cost = $1, Monthly Budget Amount = $1. (A super deal from Walmart)

There are no dependencies.

For those who want to avoid using the "setsealevel" cheat so you don't have to rebuild your bridges and tunnels,

I've posted an "how to" in the forums at:

https://community.simtropolis.com/forums/topic/31448-js-seawalls-v2/

If you have any difficulties, PM me. (Or post in the forums)

mask123: yes. except that the ground along the edge of the highway won't be covered. in general, they are retaining walls.

They are very nice, but I do prefer the ones with the walkway, despite the extra tile they need. Could you make some additional tiles (I mean the walkway). As for the bridges and tunnels being lost it might be possible to avoid it, make a mod that sets the Sea Level property in the Terrain Properties exemplar to below 250

cogeo: I tried it and it does work but not everyone knows how to use ILive Reader to make the changes. Those who mod will understand and now have a way to use the walls without destroying bridges and tunnels. Thanks much for the input.

5/5 - a warning to people who use subway entrances as road tiles: setsealevel, for some reason, detaches the roads from both sides and erases the visible model for the entrance, therefore disrupting traffic. You'll have to replace the entrances manually. I found this out the hard way :(

this looks so great, I hate, hate, hate the coastlines in the default game, and after a LOT of picking and choosing this is a great mod for riverside in cities (IMHO of course!), thanks so much!

Looks great these! My only question would be if you have considered to have another more urban texture on the diagonal lots on the 1/2 that is on the ground - grass is not always so nice in the inner city! But fantastic work and thanks for sharing.

Excellent set of seawall, exactly what I have been looking for (i.e. nothing on top !) But your "howto" link is broken.

Great walls, love the look in my city...thanks....have one question though, any chance of getting a base texture image of the stone? it's the best looking and realistic I've come across. would love to add to the look of your walls in my city by making a base texture lot to add on some slopes...as always, keep up the awsome work, look forward to more in the future.

First let me say I love the look of this seawall set. I have a problem I hope someone can help me with. I did the "setsealevel" but when I placed the seawall pieces, they only covered half of the slope. When I put the water back in, the water did not even reach the bottom of the walls. Does anyone have any suggestions?
