About This File

G'Day,

Today I have a map of Broome to show.

It is terrain and scale accurate although Broome is very flat. Highest elevation is barely 45m. The map is also small at 16.384km x 16.384km so it won't make one's puter wheeze and being so flat it is very easy to build on. This map was produced with 1second SRTM Dem and satellite data and is 16bit .sc4m format.

One needs wouanagaine's mapper or terraformer as it is in .sc4m format, instructions are in the readme.

See this map up CLOSE and personal.

That's all I think

Cheers

One doesn't realise how ugly the coast around Broome looks until one make an sc4 map of it. Thanks mrdazza

yeah it's a little bland but the point here of course is that these are RL recreations and as always you've done a great job. Must've been tempting to throw a lake or a hill in but...

I'm really don't care much for "recreations" of specific places - especially ones I've never seen, or are flat and boring such as this. That said though, I love this map - because I do look for *realistic* maps, which are best based on recreations. I've no problem drawing up my own mountains, hills, lakes, rivers, etc... but something interesting, and not ridiculously large, to start from... is much appreciated. Thank you!

All your maps look great and realistic, would love to see a map of metro perth as the ones on STEX are good, but are little too small and don't cover both north and south. Cheers great work as always.
