Magnolia House  1.0

About This File

This house is one that was offered in the Sears and Roebuck catalog in the early part of the twentieth century.  It came with everything you needed except the foundation.

The file should be all ready to go.  There are a couple of props that come with it.  All you should have to do is drop the "plopmaghouse" file into your pluggins folder and it should be plop ready under parks.

No dependencies.

Very interesting design. Very good detail. One thing I noticed was that the roof and walls have very similar color tones, making it slightly drab. I think a little more color contrast between the roof and walls would go a long way to make this house even better. I love the details on the side roofs. Of course, for people to really like it, you should make it growable.

1. yeah....a growable version would be awesome. 2. I really like the "neat" look 3. contrasts are fine in my opinion.....I know many real buildings which have even less contrast 4. perfect detail!!! I'd give it 5*, but as park`? naahh....

Everything I would mention has already been addressed - textures, park/res, growability...there also might be a little too much going on with the lot - gazebo, pool, pond, statue...everything and the kitchen sink is there :)

Didn't download this one but I sure do like it. 5 stars!!!! This would be excellent as an alternative to the mayors house. Would you mind if I try to make a mayors lot from this?

Well I changed my mind and did download this. As soon as I get permission from the designer I am going to work on a new mayors lot with this as the building.

Which model house is this? I looked at the Sears archives at http://www.arts-crafts.com/archive/sears/ and couldn't find this home in there list....
