About This File

This is the Version 2 of the previosuly released Willow Place Part 1. The BAT that I have made of the new shopping complex in my home town of Corby, UK. The centre is part of a multi-million pound regeneration project in Corby and is the first phase in the re-development of its town centre. The complex houses many well known high street shops including Tk Maxx, HMV, Game, Whsmith and more. The complex was completed and opened in late October 2007. This is only the first part of the complex and the remaining parts will be availablein the New Year.

There were a lot of requests for a plopable version to be released, however, after playing about with the lot and trying to create a plop version,I was unsuccessful in creating a plop version. The reason was mainly due to the fact that the bat needed a lot over 6x6 tiles. Every time the plop lot was opened in the game, the game crashed and other problems occured. So sorry but i could only make a landmark for this file.

Nice but look at your textures, they need a lot of work, especially the roof ones. On the plus side the night lighting looks fantastic!

Still the textures are not what I call natural, sorry, even closeup ingame. Way too clean and some are way to bright. The BAT is good and I would have loved to have it in the game, but with these textures it stands out too much.....Nice try anyways.

nope. They have not. They are too clean, are tiling, and are too bright. I suggest you read the roof texturing tutorial in Jasoncw's signature.

From what I can tell, you've added a bit of roof junk in one corner and darkended the roof texture to be more gray. The modeling itself is excellent, and it has superb nightlighting, but if you were to make some better textures it would be the icing on the cake. I'm not saying it's horrible, just keep in mind that in SC4 we look at the roofs of buildings more than anything else ;)

Not all of the complex can be seen from these images above. If you download it, you can see that the plaza area at the back does have more details included.

This is much nicer now, I have actually been here and it is very realistic. Although personally Corby is not favourite place in the world. 9/10

To everyone complaining about it being to clean, some shopping centres actually have maintained roofs.

Great work, 11/10
