Rail Wires  .5

About This File

Ok this is my first Upload to STEX.

I Always liked Frogface's rail wire lots but I thought they needed some wires so I made some. These are the early lots and are not done. I just slapped some textures on them and rendered them. Just to test with glenni but they look interesting so I figured I'd upload them. If you want some more realistic looking ones they are on the way.

THIS IS NOT THE FINAL VERSION

As with FF's lots this is a dirt lot that you plop next to the rail and the wires overhang onto the rails. These are only straight pieces. I'm working on some turns and stuff. These appear in the parks menu. The wires are kindof hard to see but those will be corrected in V 2.0 with double thickness and real textures.

Great idea!, but one question: should I track this file and wait for the update, or will you release the v2.0 seperately? Thumbs up, but no rating until final version, k?

I'll upload the Final version as a diffferent download. I'd wait until that. The only reason I uploaded this was because it looked weird in game and I thought some ppl might find that interesting

Will it be possible to vary the length of the interval between electric poles without having it graphically mess up? Also, is there a chance for transparent bases? It just doesn't look so good in suburban areas where you have no room on either side to plop down dirt. Looks good so far, anyway.

No I dont think you can vary the leagth without changing the model. You could try. And also yeah I think Glenni could do that. So you can plop trees over it or something? You cant get rid of the lot unless we TE these which is a whole nother topic

Glenni: To make a transparent base you'll need to download the "stupid texture" (type in stupid on the STEX), put it in your plugins folder, then place the stupid base texture on your lot. When your finished, save the lot, get out of lot editor, remove the stupid texture from your plugins folder and start up the game. You will now have a transparent base on your lot. Yoman. Nice job with this. I'm looking forward to the final upload..

Great job, I look forward to version 2 this will add a new level of realism. Especially if the trolley bus project goes well. Keep it up.
