About This File

UPDATED:

Changed the texture to a darker one and included a smaller version.

Myron's Discus Thrower statue was originally called Discobolus and the original artist that made him was one of the best sculptors of ancient Greece and lived in Athens in the 5th century BC. Considered by many to represent the perfect athletic form, Discobolos. This Grecian work of art is renowend for its contribution to the contraposito form of sculpture. Myron's Discus Thrower is one of the most famous classic Greek statues from this period. Discobolus athlete engaged in the discus throw boasts vigorous and convincing movement in a perfect made form. His flexing muscles and concentrated expression create a strong impression.

Hope you like it.

Nice model, 10 for that, but the textures could be improved, 7 for that, so 8.5 rounds to 9 so I'm giving it a nine.

PS: four uploads in one day? Imagine how good you'd get if you spent one whole day on one!

I didn't model them all in a day though. I model a few and then upload them all in one go...

You've definitely got a great talent. Perhaps the texturing could be a little better though. 9

Great model!! did you make in it Poser? only one problem it is overexposed, or too bright! you should adjust the material (texture before you do final render! Otherwise large part of statue is sadly eaten away by WHITE!!

Excellent pack!!! Statues must be amongst the hardest BATs to make, let alone when having to accurately recreate an existing one! 10/10 from me!

Not too bad for a statue, but you could get a better reply if you use textures. Keep it up!
