I picked Skylines back up with the release of AD and loving it so far. Some shots from the outskirts of my city: Shopping area Train station Two indoor arenas (implied underground parking) A lower-wealth urban city block Suburban highschool Water management and nuclear power plant
  3. Oh my, those are some really amazing maps!
  4. Cool Just as a quick update regarding this CJ: I stopped playing CS:S and thus this city a while ago (I binged a bit too much and got bored of it). However I just started a new city on a European map with the latest update. I might post some pictures in this thread soon.
  5. Just take pictures with print scr and save them with paint?
  6. The map you're playing on seems familiar! However I changed most of the highways and rails in the map editor, because the original creator did a fairly poor job on those. Just see how the highways go around the mountain in picture 5, I think it looks ridiculous and ruins an otherwise nice view. Other than that I like the update, a believable town center you created.
  7. Y-Interchange on a hill. It was kind of a $%&^! to get right without mods in this location.
  8. funny, i built the exact same canal with the boardwalk and crossing streets, but i tore it all down because the dead trees look ridiculous. anyway good job, really cool city!
  9. Interesting first entries, looking forward to more!

  11. Replies: San Leandro #11 Connecting the Dots After a well-deserved time off that I spent with cheap liquor over in Talooga I am back to work in San Leandro. My focus is still to connect undeveloped areas in between my various cities and towns. Two new projects have been realized: Ocean City is growing outward, the new district of Ocean City West is up and running. Across the highway is a smaller town, called Creola. But before I get to the main part I am happy to show you yet another attraction on Ocean City's Strip: A new casino on The Strip Alright, here are some overview pictures of the new areas. Overview - the upper half is Ocean City West, the lower half Creola Ocean City West is actually to the west in this picture - the interchange you see is a first attempt at freehanding a curved DDI I begin the tour in Ocean City West. After some consideration, I decided to move the county seat over here to give it more room and thus a more respectable surrounding. Apart from that the district is dominated by appartment blocks, shopping streets, a few offices and the iconic elevated rails which weave through the narrow streets. Overview of Ocean City West Coming from the roundabout which connects Ocean City West to the highway you are greeted by this clock tower Main plaza and shopping with San Leandro County seat in the back Behind the county seat is a roundabout with a beautiful statue Elevated rails go through the district Apparently the fast food joints needed a refill More rails Inner city lake The lake with its terrace is a great place to relax The only highrises allowed in this district are the office buildings Extravagant blue trees and pedestrian walkways in the office area High school Backside of the school with a skate park and basketball court - notice the pub immediately adjacent to the school, I realized that I find that much more hilarious than the parents Students getting ready for some after school skating A peculiar hotel based on an old train station is situated next to the office area A typical shopping street Rail crossing leading into Ocean City West Next up is the town of Creola. Overview of Creola with the train station and main business area in the front The different angle shows the train station and a synagogue - a symbol for the strong Jewish community living in this suburb A pedestrian underpass connects the bus stop to the train station Reverse angle Rail crossings close to the train station IKEA and gas station Fast food behind IKEA Synagogue with a farmer's market next to it Farmer's market Rails leading into town Various bridges cross the rails Coffee shop in front of the local cinema with the pedestrian bridge in the back A street with offices and shops The local high school One of the main sights of Creola is this historic watertower inside a roundabout in a residential area Some of the houses have more individual gardens A construction site in a residential area The northern part of town is bordered by an extensive park which is very popular among joggers Okay, that's it for now. Thanks for reading!
  12. Great downtown area!
  13. Nice city growth. As a fan of terraforming I'm looking forward to what you can achieve with it!
  14. Awesome pictures and city, my only complaint would be the Marina Bay Resport seems very out of place. Regarding your questions: I also want a mod to stop trees from dying! I think this annoys everyone who's messing around with terraforming. I even posted a reddit thread a few days ago but that got deleted or something You can edit your title by editing your first post and choosing "more reply options" or "use full editor" or whatever it says
