Real Highway (RHW) - Development and Support
Haljackey replied to qurlix's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
The street intersection is the only one that currently works correctly. For other interections you must transition the RHW into one way roads outside of the intersection. You can upgrade your RHWs into highways for interchanges by first transitioning them into one way roads, than transition the one way roads to highways. Hope that helps!- 3,919 Replies

For the 5 lane highway, I just took a one way road/RHW and a highway and raised the land around it to create a 5 lane devided highwa Also, take a look at some cruise ship I found from a Japanese website! It looks awsome! Fun or not, image edited to be within board limits. NOB.

simcity.com has gone quiet?
Haljackey replied to guitarist4816's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
I cant register because i think someone else has the exact same serial code as I and registered before me! Stupid if you ask me because without that site's downloads, many BATs and things on the STEX dont function for me, i will see the base textures sometimes but no biulding, or the game will just crash. -

what is your favourite landmark in this world ?

Remember that London Did win the 2012 Olpmpic hosting over Paris, the International Olympic Commite looks at all kinds of details within both cities before making that decision. Because of that, I would go with London (and anyways, I live in London, Canada, a city named after it!)

I also support iorn crash berriers with Andreas Roth. I would also like to add that when you biuld anything next to the RHW (even open grass areas or signs) a sidewalk is created on the other side of the RHW. I think it would be best if this area was replaced with another shoulder so that it takes up this extra space or a berrier (concrete or iorn, just somthing other than a sidewalk). Heres a photo of it (straight and diagional)- 3,919 Replies

Really prince_of_sims, I just played around with my roads and in order to connect them, i needed this intersection to match up the layout in my city.
-
It is red, almost every road heading to it and it connects to a stack interchange with a busy highway in the south. Heres another pic of that crazy intersection zoomed out (its at the top of the picture) And another style!

My first post in this topic, but I "got a buncha crazy photos" This one isn't crazy, but it shows how well Ryanb's suiside lanes correspond with the centre median without redrawing the road. I think it looks awsome! Traffic jam, even with 5 lanes of traffic each way! Heres another heavy traffic shot, slow moving even with 12 lanes! Big interchange right in the middle of an airport! Another at the edge of a terminal! In front of the train station, a nice central platform Big interchange Cahos! (made picture big to show it) Reduced to 800 x 640 to meet board standard. NOB. Nice Roundabout Plane's wing over road means low clearence! Whew! I went overboard there, hopefully you enjoyed looking at some fun screenshots of mine!

Real Highway (RHW) - Development and Support
Haljackey replied to qurlix's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
dmrsunz, a good way to figure out which direction the road is going is to look at the emergency lane on the right of the road network. If you have north/south or east/west network, the emergency lanes should be on the outermost sides of the road, showing which direction the network is travelling. Hope this helps! Emergency lane on the right has traffic travelling north on the right RHW and south on the left RHW. Having the emergency lanes face inside the roads would reverse this.- 3,919 Replies

I do see your point, however as Swamper77 mentioned, that intersection is still similar. I think it would sufice myself, as it is just an at-grade crossing. I was inquireing more about right turn lanes for freeway designs, you know, right exit/entrance lanes unlike the highways in-game that just end when they reach the highway. Kind of like this (taken from the boston tunnel theread), but with shoulder on right- 3,919 Replies

Haljackey replied to qurlix's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
Wow, awsome work! For right turns/exits, many rural freeways cancel their emergency lane on the right to replace it with a acceleration/decelleration lane for interchanges and possibly at grade crossings. If you improvise, we can still have right turn lanes in the same tile but you have to take away the shoulder. Thats the only I think it may be done. Heres an example See that there isn't an emergency lane? It ends at the start of the decelleration lane (exit ramp) and begins agian at the end of the acceleration lane (entrance ramp)- 3,919 Replies
