Good morning, On the site: http://somy.gozaru.jp/p7.htm i downloaded files: somy-industrial-port-set01, 02, 03,04, 05, 06. Only the somy-industrial-port-set02 was easy to extract, and to have in my plugin directory. It has been impossible for me to open the others sets, because it seems to be "multivolums zip files" with .z01, .z02.... When i try to open for example the somy-industrial-port-set01.zip, (with 7zip) it says that "file can't be opened as an archive", when i make a right click on it the file seems empty (0 Ko) though the two .z01 and .z02 (that go with) seems to contain 3 Mo each. I made a copy of my plugins to work in security, and i retried to extract properly, putting the set01.zip in the same place that the two .z01 and .z02 files, i could not extract but i could open it, i had a file named somy industrial port SET01, that i could also open (but still not extract), that file seemed 0 Ko too, but there was four files inside crane00, crane02, somy-Ships01, they still seemed to contain nothing (0 Ko files), and a .jpg file. I insisted and opened crane00, and oh surprise there was a content with real Kos, i opened crane02, somy-Ships01 and there was content too. I thought, yes i made it, and i prepared a place to put those real files inside my real plugins directory, unfortunately i couldn't move them, it's like they are still not really extracted. My OS is windows 10, i am the administrator of this PC, i ordinary use 7zip, or zip to extract files i download on simtropolis or sc4 without problems. Could u help me, or indicate an easier way to get those files, blue cranes and the conveyor look awesome, and i'm trying to make a Coal Dockyard as i saw on Chapter 10 of Imperial Wilhelmshaven Dockyards. Good evening, I will work on this street u talking about and try to make the railway a bit more simple. Very useful to get an external look on your own work. I took a look to the second picture and i agree, this part is quite nice (without throwing flowers to myself). I'll post more views within a moment. JF

Hello, I just downloaded Oasis Car Wash and i cannot plop it. It does not even appear in In game menu. I don't know how to work with any editors, (anyway none of them is working so well on my config _ Windows 10 x64_ , i'm talking about LE, LEProp, PIM, and iLives, they all crash or give strange informations). So i tried with the basic cheats BuildingPlop and LotPlop, i saw it but when i wanted to plop it causes a CTD. My question is what is the problem with that small (2X4) commercial building. Jeffito

Hello Raymond7cn, First i thank u for your help. I re checked the 3 dependencies, i had them but by precaution i replaced them (MTP SuperPack, Megaprops CP vol01 and vol02). Then i re downloaded Oasis Car wash and replaced it too. This time, in the game menu there was no icon showing for it , (or i didn't find it) but i could plop it with the extra cheat LotPlop where i found an icon. I plopped it beside the Car dealers i already had (Toyota, Metropolitan Ford, Nissan, Isuzu...) and it's ok. Thank u. Second point, i'm neither a lotter, modder nor a programmer, at most just a handyman. I hardly succeeded to install LE, LEprop, SC4PIM and ILives, my OS is Windows 10 (x64) and it was not easy to run those old programs on this recent system. My version of the game is 1.1.641.0, i recently installed NAM 41, it works ok, my plugins folder is 3,5Go. My graphic card is a GForce GTX 750 Ti. I use Cleanitol, and HCC Lite to avoid conflicts; and i make regular backups of Plugins folder, in separate directories. As i said "Strange informations" came from iLives, it said that my computer has insufficient memory???, (as if 16Go of Ram was not enough, but maybe); the Lot Editor, it, at a point warns me that it's going to stops, and it stops effectively... I know that i have a long way before handling correctly those programs, beginning is reading the tutorials for each... I would like, one day, to use JRJ Caterpilar 0x50b85b0f alone as a ploppable lot, also use jes CoalBunker 0x9917ab7c alone as a ploppable lot ....etc... and so many items that are out of my reach for the moment. Hello, as u can see in the uploaded image, the re are holes or gaps between items of the menu. It happens in several sub menus of my game, i put this image just as an example. Is there someting to do to solve this. Because the annoying thing is, it moves the correct name of items, and to recover i have to down far forward and come back with the mouse. More, some items (like church ou "Lieu de Culte" en français, TLC Transfer yard too) appear several time in the same submenu and eventually in others one at the same time. I made a check up inside plugin directory, visually and with HcCloner, and there are not any "same-name", "full clones" or whatever. Otherwise, all is clear, phantom slider is magically gone, i manage textures with dataviews, and i 'm now used to live with the unknown origin spawning little boats automata (which can go through anything even SNM Submarines, sometimes i wish i could use torpedos..... Seriously game is still ok and the help is very wise on simtropolis...

Hello, i just opened LE, and i'm already lost, facing two difficulties; I realize that i don't really understand what u mean by " "hovering the top-most entry in the game menu..." and i don't remember at all which icons were in the empty spaces of the menu. More, LE doesn't show each lot, one by one, in the beginning its ok but quickly it become a long list of " CSS.....or HI....". Should i use SC4 Data Node instead? The advantage is it gives the name of all items. Shortly, it seems very complicated to me. Thx anyway Jeffito

Hello, Sorry, it's me again with another problem; now i can no longer adjust the spending for the police budget. As soon as the game is running, within the dataviews monthly spendings, in the Public Services, the cursor for police gets back systematically to 0. (Firemen budget and justice budget stay ok) I renewed all police stations, all gendarmerie stations, no result. Security in my town gets very problematic and the policemen themselves are in the streets protesting. What's happening? (if u need a picture of the problem i can make one) JF

Hello: Answers to your questions: 1: If you mean how many cities are affected by this bug, i would say only Port Dudley. I started another city, in the same region, and each parameter was ok, and (most of it) stayed ok when i pushed the game at max speed. 2: I didn't modify any parameter with neither LE nor iLivesReader, i don't know how to use them, (and i can't even install properly the reader, dunno why). but i remember that recently i adjusted the budgets, manually with the sliders, i wanted to spend a lot for this town, you saw this city is very very rich; (Thx Somy Vat) . 3: Lots that may cause the bug could be the JRJ Maritime transit Control Tower, (the one with inscription A Coruna), i had it in the plugins but i plopped it recently, and i saw that this lot has his own spending budget, that can be fixed with a slider. But, the surprise comes here: i launched Port Dudley, around 18H45 Pm today, the budget of public services was very low, AND the budget of Health and Education were both in full red (to 0). I thought well this time , my city is definitely dying. Ten minutes later: All has return to normal full and solid green, i didn't believe it, i pushed the game in speed, it stayed ok, i saved and i took a picture. JF -

Hello, Well, i had to focus at max while reading u. Do i have to understand that i must be patient and wait u completely master "Solution 3"? If this is the case, No problem, i'll wait, putting the game on pause doesn't prevents me to play. Just hoping a fourth problem doesn't occur. I have had "Water Bug", "Spawning boats bug", and now "Phantom Slider Bug", which will be next....? JF -

Ty SIM-ple Jack, the patch which rcs204 made removed all the automata's, included hang gliders. But all the others (slightly biggers) automata's are still here on the water. I think they are not generated by MaxisMarina (reward). As u said, either hang gliders or little boats..., those are really harmless annoyances, i know. If the hard binary method doesn't bring solution I probably continue to play even if their showing up is visually bothering. This SimCity 4 game brings its lot(s) of pleasure and eventually disapointment. Fortunately, after all this years, i always find people, focused, experimented, helping.... JF -

Hello, before using the hard binary method, i'm gonna try your way (and by chance i like chocolate too!). You are right i didn't describe correctly the MaxisMarina lot, it's like u say a 1X6 lot (and not very pleasant looking); but we are talking about the same thing. The patch u made has correctly suppress the littles boats in the sea tiles. (but not the hang gliders) I go for a little walk out, and coming back i'll start bulldozing and observing. Hello, I did exactly what u said. I bulldozed Marina, (the Maxis one, an ugly 2X2 lot), i saved and exit. Then i put the patch u made in "Plugins", and re opened the game, What happened: i replopped Marina and effectively the little boats attached were not present. I could also read your text in the menu. But, the others watercrafts were still wandering across my sea, and across anything. They probably don't come from Marina plop The only way i found to get rid of them is to use: Setsealevel. radical, no water no boats; Lol Then rsc204 sent me another patch he made. I tried it same way and it didn't solve the problems, those small watercrafts are still mocking me around, going through my naval base, drydocks. nMy opinion is they were appearing when i plopped a lot recently, but which one. I 've got to try the fastidious way of loading my plugins by small groups and see what happen, with a bit of chance i 'll find the culprit. If i don't find i Gotta live with!. Any way i really want to thank you for the answers, and the help you all provide. JF -

i just asked to @ap if it's possible to get the barge mounted crane, the cranes on the rails, and the giant grey cranes which can haul a whole turret..., those lots are not proposed in his actual files. JF- 9 Comments

Hello, I have those kind of texture problems with some lots. The texture looks correct when i start the game but 15mns later it becomes like on the picture. I put an image to illustrate. (This is OPIM COAL MINE MIKE, i think i have all dependencies; i have the same problem with the ground between SNM double Fence, and in some other places If someone can explain and help me to fix it. Hello, I want to make a complete port, I downloaded Coaldock, installed it in plugins, creating a folder "BLaM" in which I included two subfolders: Drydock (existing) and Coaldock (that I had to create two). I started the game, I can easily find "Drydock" but "Coaldock" does not appear in the menu (in the game). What can I do?
