  2. Hello everyone, I recently downloaded SimCity 4 with Origin. I played the game and everything worked fine, so no problems here. So I saved my city, closed SC4 and even my entire PC, and after lunch continued playing with this city. However the next day the region still exists, but the city is not there anymore. I checked in the region folder and the city file is still there. However when loading a city from your documents in SC4 the specified city is not there. So although I still got the city file i'm not able to play with this city. Anyone who can help me with this issue? Note: I'm using a customized region, so I adjusted the config.bmp file in such a way that the size of the cities is customized. Thanks in advance!
  3. Cul de Sacs

    I saw a tut about building roundabouts with streets by @MiniMark, some 6 years ago. But his streets had cul-de-sacs and mine don't. So I'm looking for a file named : Z_Maxis/_Street_Cul_de_Sacs. (Hope I got the right spelling). I searched here in this topic and in the whole ST site. No results. In advance, thanks much.
  4. Posted this on the paradox forum as well but I think I'm more likely to get an answer here. I have been working on a new vehicle (a minibus) for a few days now. It's my first game asset. I recently finished it and shared it on steam workshop: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=702397036 The problem is, the file size is over 25 Mb! The source files I used, two fbx files- full model (48.9 Kb) and lod (14.5 Kb), plus 5 png texture files, are 311 Kb in total. I tried uploading the model without textures and it's still over 23 Mb. I used blender to make the model. Tris count is 1294, so not a very complex model. What could be the problem? I will appreciate any help.
  5. The File Limit Comes Back.

    So, uh, for those of you who thought the file limit memory leak bug was patched, you were wrong. I was wrong, also, they just increased the limit, and it's back again. My Plugins folder is at a whopping 3.27 gigs, so when your plugins file gets to that point, you're gonna have a bad time.

    We did it. The file limit is no more. Aspyr patched it. Make sure to ack your plugins file up though.

    Some fun news for people who experience the plugin file limit, it's gonna be patched! In upwards of a month. I had started a convo with the bug report person, and they walked me through the process of giving them the needed info, so, everything will be awesome soon! Yay!
  8. And like the title says I would like to start showcasing people's cities on my YouTube channel. I think it's a great way of sharing ideas, showing your creations to other people, letting others comment and give you tips after seeing your cities in action. You can send my your cities saves by email (perablenta@gmail.com), link files from file hosting websites, links to saves shared on the Steam Workshop, which ever way you like. You can also tell me what things I should pay special attention to or what things you would like to hear helpful ideas about. I have also made this call as a video with instructions on where to find the save files and how to upload them if you do not want to share them publicly on the Workshop.
  9. Hey everyone. So I installed a couple iffy beta mods/assets today (Namely, the Network Extensions mod and the two Toll Booth Turnpike assets). I then opened my game to encounter this: After closing the error box, I'm left with a slightly ominous message in the debug log ('32768 broken vehicles detected and removed') and my viewpoint stuck in this spot. I'm not asking anyone to fix or resolve this issue. I'm sure the beta mods caused it by conflicting with something. I can just uninstall the mods and load a not-too-old backup of the city. I am, however, asking, mostly out of curiosity, if this is what a corrupted savegame looks like? If so, could I do anything to rescue this if I hadn't backed it up? Thanks.
  10. Hello I'm having a problem installing Simcity 4 for my windows 7. The installation stops at file called Simcity_3.dat. I've searched for help from everywhere and I have noticed many people has this problem. I've tried installing it manually from folder to folder, cleaning the disc with soft cloth etc but nothing seems to work it's allways the same file that jamms! So I wondered if anyone could copy the script from the file here so I could copy/paste it to my folder. Thank you!
