  1. I'm trying to perfect my British Terraced Housing at the moment. Going to a lot of trouble to get two distinct houses per Cell, but no matter which residential template I use, my Buildings always end up with a single household in-game. Does anyone know how we can control the Number of Households per residential Asset?
  2. You can combine trailers and vehicles in the vehicle editor, I think. That's how I plan to eventually make horses and carts for my theme
  3. Network Extensions Project

Regarding this request: I would love cobble roads too, also UK style pavements (see pic) I am willing to spend the time making the textures, if The Network Extenders tell me what size they want. I briefly tried to insert my own cobble and pavement textures into a Theme, but soon realised that the vanilla tools for this just use a non-directional, blanket texture. And I'd really like the cobbles/pavements to follow the line of the road. Likewise the horse-poo and filth I intend to add
  4. Network Extensions Project

THEY'VE FIXED THE CORNER BUILDINGS ON ONE TILE ROAD ISSUE! I LOVE THEM! And I will give them any children I have. If and when I have any.
  5. I wish i could code. I was trying make a conceptually simply game in unity. Abstract, not people or things wandering around an environment. Got some of the basic mechanics working well thanks to Forums. Then unity updated in January and I haven't been able to get my scripts to work properly since then. Rotation is ALLLL out of whack. The entire game was based on rotation
  6. They don't look like a big job, but I have to rustle up a wordpress site today (so the JobCentre Lady tomorrow can see I am trying...) And then I need to finisht eh Maps for my Victoria! Level 2s. But I'd happily throw these together for you next week... They'd probably work as true, single-cell houses, unlike my Viccy ones, as they look pretty broad. Any idea the actual width of those puppies? They'd be a simple build, but I wouldn't want to unless we can give them nice swinging wires.
  7. Network Extensions Project

I thought vertex animation on the FBX was importable? A loop at least, even if one can't set up a nice Anim Controller.
  8. I would LOVE to make a Cable Car. Modelling would be pretty easy, but we'd need a scripting system that could combine the placement of the Power Lines for the posts, with motion/animation for the cars and somehow integrate that with the public transport system :/ And I am NOT a coder.
  9. Network Extensions Project

Is there any chance the small Alley-sized Roads in NwEs could have Tram lines? I'd love to be able to have those meagre, cramped roads with a Tram line in them too. Not just one way roads, though.... Would they fit?
  10. This is a quick one: Can anyone tell me what tells CS-snowfall to create the little snow drifts around the bottom of buildings' walls? Is it just the mesh of the model being at 0-y? And can one get Props to create lil snowdrifts like these?
  11. Snow-drifts on Buildings

So , could I use a scrpit to change the shader of my house-props so that they would receive the same snow-treatment as the regular Building assets? Basically, could I just edit your Shader script and have properly snowy Prop-Houses for my Theme? They only get the Prop-style snowiness atm. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=686742727
  12. Steam District Theme & its Assets!

So the Victoria!, Urban, Working Class District Theme is now available on Steam! I have tested it using the Assets from Steam and it is working. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=686742727 As yet, it only includes the Working Class Level 1 Low Density Residential but I will be constantly adding to it. My Assets are all compatible with After dark and Snowfall. (Frankly I am insanely excited about building trams) The Last image is an in-game test of my Level Two houses levelling up from the Level Ones.
  13. I really want to build some of these for my Theme, but it's gonna have to wait a while until I get a whole load of buildings done first.
  14. Steam District Theme & its Assets!

Fear not! Once I have a decent number of buildings online, I plan to make horses and carriages. I've done a basic test of them and it should work prrdy sweet I WISH we could make our own people. I'd love to be able to make tiny victorian scum and gentry walk cycles.
  15. Some Problems Solved

Hey which eye-level cam mod are you using? neither of the ones I was subscribed to seem to be working. Some beaut buildings in there btw.
  16. First Fifteen

Well, I've uploaded the first group of buildings now. tested them via steam on my computer and they're working. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=686742727 I've now got to texture the Level 2 Working class houses and upload them!
  17. First Fifteen

Finally loaded my first fifteen fully finished house variations for the Victoria! Urban Working Class District Theme. So far it's only the Level 1 1x1 variants. So.Many.More.To.Do!
  18. Does anyone know if there is a limit to the number of objects that can appear in any single menu-tab within the Asset Editor in Cities Skylines? My project involves a LOT of props, and I always seem to get overspill. Some of my Props just WONT appear in the correct menu-tab. I am using Mod Tools to change assignment in the Tool Controller. But I STILL have three of my props appearing in Park Equipment rather than Home Yard where I want them! (I also have a persistent Asset_Thumb that refuses to change on another item) I also checked out this guide but it really isn't showing me anything I don't know already. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=424748932 Any ideas people?
  19. Onwards and UPWARDS!

Thanks largely to @Avanya I have sorted out the Share/Subscribe issue that was messing up my PropHouses when used from Steam! So, here's a pic of my first test House working through steam. And some screen shots of my spreadsheets just so you get an idea of HOW MANY of these damn assets I need to build and keep track of to make this beast function properly!
  20. BY JOVE IT WORKS! Houses build from Subscribed Props, Shared, and subscribed to, WORKING!
  21. I was in SUCH a bad mood yesterday evening, thinking that all the work I had done was for nothing. But you, and bacon, gave me hope! *Looks at sky with a single tear rolling down cheek* So I am going to test this now. Fingers crossed Avanya!
  22. Can I just check this with you... In the attached pic, the ONLY thing the game registers as a Building is the chimney. Each little house either side of the chimney is a prop, as is the garden wall and the gates in the wall. Does this mean I simply can't combine all the Assets into the finished "house" until I have uploaded all the composite parts to Steam and subscribed to them myself? (I have tried the moving-local-assets-and-subscribing method already, but it didn't work) And only AFTER, i have uploaded all the separate parts, and subscribed to them, can I THEN compile the finished buildings, and Share THEM on Steam? Then anyone who subscribes to the whole lot will have immediately functioning Buildings + Props?
  23. I know this is an old, old thread but I am having this exact problem right now. I've spent bloody ages developing a set of buildings which rely heavily on Props. I hadn't seen this thread before I started the project. I shared the Building-Props first. Realised they didn't work. I've just tried sharing the Props first, and then the compiled building put together in the Asset Editor but it still doesn't seem to work. If anyone can shed any light on this I'd be really grateful. I've built over 75 Assets for this damn project, I may have to kick a puppy if there's no way round this.
  24. So I have spent ages building models for a District Style. I have built them unconventionally because I prefer how they work in the landscape. UK Terraced Houses. Only the Chimney is loaded in as the game-recognised Building. The houses that flank the Chimney are inserted as Props. This way the houses follow the lay of the land and look good. Trouble is, when I Share on Steam, only the Chimney(building) is uploaded. So anyone who downlands, just gets a flying chimney! So I have uploaded all (there a lot) the required Houses(Props) to Steam. I've put ALL the Assets into a Collection. I deleted my original, local assets (backed up ;), subscribed to my complete collection, made a Disctrict Style of the buildings... Even with all the assets available on my computer, subscribed to and downloaded from Steam, NON of the Props appear in-game. Does Cities ONLY upload the basic building to Steam without ANY of the props (except Door-Entry Points) to Steam? If I uploaded the Props before I upload the "buildings", does that make any difference? The Bottom shows the compiled Asset. The chimney is loaded in as the Building, each of the two houses, the garden walls, and the gates, are separate Props. But even having uploaded all 75 assets (buildings & props) to Steam, when I use them via Steam, all I get is the flying chimney bases...
  25. First 30

Well, the first thirty are in! All only Level 1s, sadly. Now, though it's time to get on with Level 2! Though i think I might run up a few more 1x2 combinations. I don't like how many garden-less houses keep appearing. There's 20 advert walls in this first 30... I wonder if they'll ever all be seen! I'm actually a bit nervous to upload and share them....
