Disasters in SimCity (2013)
SimCitySuperFan replied to The_City_Builder's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
One thing that saddens me is that the alien UFO in Sim City only abducts some citizens, blow up 1 or 2 building and then leave. I would much prefer the large scale alien invasions from Sim City 4, in wich the aliens were a real threat. In the new Sim City, the alien abduction seems boring, so I would like to see a bigger scale alien abduction or even if possible a BIG alien invasion force. -
SimCity Vs Cities Xl 2012
SimCitySuperFan replied to vietnam67's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
The only thing I dislike in Cities XL is that the cities don't feel "alive" as they do in SimCity. I will take a look at Cities XL Platinum, see if there some "simulation" in it. -
But will I be able to purchase the Digital Deluxe edition after the launch? I've already contacted EA to ask this, but they answered like if I was asking about my account's security.

Guys, I wasn't invited for any of the betas, and I am thinking about pre-ordering the game, but I don't know if it is worth. So you lucky guys that had the chance to play the beta, was it good?
-
The game looks impressive, but like a lot of people have already said here, having cities surrounded by nothing more than grasslands/plains and trees isn't a very good idea.

I still have a problem with the driveable F-22. He is locked for use due to the fact that I do not have in my city the Area 51. But still, I can see the driveable F-22 at the airbase. And one more thing: I do not even have the Area 51 in my city, but after I put the airbase, is shown in the menu of gifts that Area 51 is now in the city, ie the airbase replaces the Area 51 base, then why the driveable F -22 is locked?

Hey, guys! I wonder what is the mod that allows me to make the streets "circular" as you can see in the image below:

Hello! I'm not new, I've already downloaded various mods and also created comments on other posts, but only now decided to introduce myself here. Well, I'm Brazilian, and only played the games SimCity 4, SimCity Societies and Cities XL 2011, and am eagerly awaiting the new SimCity, released in February 2013. And I also have a question: is there any way to change my profile name? (Sorry if there's a typo. Google Translator sucks)

(Re edited) - A Tour Over Hastings
SimCitySuperFan commented on SimCitySuperFan's City Journal Entry in Big Cities Journal
Hey, looks like a good start. You should find some place like imageshack or flickr to host your images. As you progress you should start ditching the ugly Maxis buildings, but that takes time.
Good idea. I improved this entry using images I uploaded in ImageShack. -
(Re edited) - A Tour Over Hastings
SimCitySuperFan posted a City Journal entry in Big Cities Journal
Note: I know that Hastings is a real world city, and it is located on the south coast of England. However, the Hastings i created in SimCity has no connection with the real world Hastings, nor with England. I just think that "Hastings" is a beautiful name for a city. Here we can see an aerial photo of Hastings, showing its richest areas. Hastings is a great city located in northern Sim Region. This image shows one of the most important zones of Hastings: its greatest commercial zone, which is responsible for the creation of several jobs, so this is the area of the city that keeps the majority of citizens earning money. But not all areas of Hastings are so valued. In the picture above we can see the industrial area of Hastings, which also generates many jobs, however, is a highly polluted area. Also in this area is where all the waste generated by citizens is deposited. Then, due to the high pollution generated, the industrial zone is away from commercial and residential zones. But there are also highly valued industries in Hastings, as can be seen in the picture above. Besides these industries do not pollute, they are also of high benefit to the population. And here ends our tour over Hastings. Do not forget to rate and comment if you liked it! -
What would you pay?
SimCitySuperFan replied to 2farnorth's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
I agree. And I'll buy the digital deluxe edition because I want to build a futuristic London in SimCity 2013 (I'm not even European, but I like London). Good luck with that, if the tile sizes are only 2x2km you will have a hard time building London, it just won't fit... or any other large city, and since there is all that wasted land between cities, you can't even build 2 cities close to each other to give the illusion of one large city. Its the biggest downfall of the game. Other people complain about multiplayer and online play, I'm actually excited- gives some excitement to the game, and some complain no terraforming- and i'm ok with the feature being lost. I'm generally optimistic about this game, but the way they manage the regions is a HUGE downside to me. I can understand why. They want to include "great works" that everyone benefits from in a region, and that's the reason for the space in between. But honestly, I would want them to just get rid of the space in between- and have the players collaborate on the where to place these "great works" maxis is so concerned about. This is a big problem. In my opinion, Maxis could increase the maps, making them equal to the large maps in SimCity 4. I also think it could be a space between the cities to build the "great works" as long as the maps were large enough to build a metropolis. -

13. Spedbury, a city of contrasts.

Great city! But how did you upload many images without reaching the limit of 2 MB? -
Okay. Thanks!

Bottom? Do you mean the top in the background? The bottom looks likes like some sort of business corporate city. Background top city looks more futuristic because of the dome and what looks like a rocket. The city at the top of the background is a futuristic city, but the city at the bottom, even as a business corporate city, it has a building that appeared in the launch trailer for SimCity, and in this building was written "Simtech" (I'm talking about a white building), and this led me to think that this city was a hi-tech city. But I agree that the city at the top of the fund is futuristic. PC/DVD ROM?????????????????????????????? What?

I really would like to create a high-tech city, just like this city high-tech that you can see at the bottom of the Simcity boxart: http://worldsims.org...tededition.jpeg

Simcity 5 (2013) Poll
SimCitySuperFan replied to samima's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
I even would like to play SimCity online, since this would not be forced, that is, while I could also play offline. So I did not vote neither positive nor negative about the online. -
