  1. To me it is a pity that the challenge brought up this discussion and that the whole challenge took such a bad direction. The best way to handle all this would have been resolution #2 which is - as far as I can see - no longer available. The arguments brought up here are very understandable. I also would not have been amused if my entry was disqualified due to a change of rules during the (voting) contest. But I can also see the point in changing them. Considering everything that has been said up until this point, the best solution imao is #4.
  2. This is my very first picture I'm uploading to Simtropolis it's a screenshot from the current map I'm working on. Maybe I'm gonna start a CJ showing more from this map ^^
  3. European Flags

I do have the same problem...
  4. Random photos of Franz (teaser)

Great work, as usual! I really like your parks around the Eiffel Tower
  5. This topic is very interresting. In this context I have a question regarding those players who make use of the cheats plugin. Let's say you set your money count e.g. on $100 million (or an other high number) at the very beginning of a new map, so you don't have to worry about bankrupting your city. Do you still start playing this map like you'd have your normal budget ($250 k)? Or do you rather play 'for the looks'? Like you had an idea which you cannot imply in another map, so starting a new map immediatly gives you full control of how you realize your idea? I am specially talking about bigger projects like customized airports, highways etc. Or do you play the whole game how 'it is meant to be' - i.e. building residental/commercial/industrial zones, leave enough space for some ideas in the future, wait until your budget is high enough and, finally, start realizing those ideas?
  6. Port Dudley is growing day by day

Your second picture is pretty nice! The rail yard surrounded by all the industrial buildings looks very realistic. In the last picture your rail-/road network seems a bit weird or rather over the top to me. There are a bit too many connections imao. E.g. leaving out the street that is covered by the U-Drive It icon and adding some parking tiles or roadside greenery would simply make more sense to me. But that's just my personal taste All in all a good first entry. I definitely wanna see more of your CJ
  7. KK Century Bus Manufacturing

That's a pretty decent lot! I'm sure it'll look great between the other buildings on my new map ^.^
  8. Penthesili waterfront redevelopment

I have just clicked through all of your posts in this CJ and the only thing I can say is: wow! your building style is very realistic and it's such an enjoyment to look at all those amazing pics. Also your MMP work is quite impressive! I've have just started using MMP's and find them quite difficult to handle. I hope that your CJ will never end
  9. Introduce Yourself Here!

Hello everyone! I've been lurking around on Simtropolis as a silent reader for about 9 years now. Finally, time has come to introduce myself ^.^ After staying at home most of the time in 2020 (because of obvious reasons) I had a bit more time to play my favourite game ever: SimCity 4! Discovering the game mechanics, the timeless design and an endless amount of mods and buildings never gets boring. The community on Simtropolis has always been a big help when searching for answers (and, of course, finding them ) on several issues or getting inspirations for my regions via galleries and city journals. Well, in early 2020 I have finally found a map file which I really liked and which I have since been playing on (previous maps always became boring and I abandoned them after a few weeks). I am planning on starting a city journal in the near future which is the main reason for introducing myself here ^.^* I simply did not want to be the guy coming outta nowhere and start a city journal That is it for now. If you have any questions feel free to aks away! Greetings from Germany
