  1. Right. the hard part would be following it up with altering the station specs: Passenger stations modded to spawn freight train automata (which now look like passenger trains, but with end cars) and freight stations modded to spawn passenger train automata (which now look like freight trains, minus their cabooses).
  2. I'm no modder, but I've fiddled with the .dat reader to have a vague idea of how things work, and I've seen enough NAM threads to get a vague idea of what's possible, so that's my disclaimer. A lot of fans have asked about adding reversed locomotives or special end cars to passenger trains, and since editing the consist of "passengerTrain" and "freightTrain" seems to be a no-go, I suggest the following: What if we swapped the generation mechanisms for train stations? A passenger station, then, would only produce freight train automata. But consider the caboose: always at the back of every freight train. By swapping out freight car models for passenger car models, and swapping out freight engines for passenger engines, could you not also swap out a caboose model for a reversed engine model? Visually, passenger stations will appear to produce passenger trains, still. Pros: Passenger trains now have specific models assigned to their end car (observation lounges, drumhead balconies, reversed engines, etc). Cons: Freight trains no longer have cabooses, U Drive It missions refer to opposite train types. Any professionals care to comment?
  3. The Big City [Update 04]

    Looks like Project Symphony stuff
  4. Random shots of Tanjung Perak's two commercial districts

Woah. Whats that Corporate HQ building dominating the 9th pic?
  5. It's a sped-up version of gardening, but with more complex requirements. You can't control exactly what appears, but you can heavily manipulate it. Even if you do have a grand scheme beyond the "Biggest and Best city", you have to work for it like no other game makes you, and there's no goal, so the reward is entirely intrinsic.
  6. I suppose it had to Start SomeWhere...

Interesting concept. Here's hoping you make something beautiful.
  7. Port Mandalay

What are those cranes from the 2nd image?
  8. Day N' Nite (Longhu 2.0)

Thank you! With the name, I was able to find the source: just click the picture. http://sc4batworks.web.fc2.com/dbat.html
  9. I just wanted to say that I'm having the same problem as well. I run a Windows 7 64-bit with the seam version of Sim City 4, and SimMars apparently doesn't like this. I've yet to see any solution to this issue. I'm willing to test out any installers.
  10. Day N' Nite (Longhu 2.0)

What's the Huge Building (that deserves capitalization) with the green helipad in the center?
  11. The begining of life on Mars

Global warming isn't an issue on Mars. There are no habitats at risk, and a melting of the polar icecaps would be welcomed as positive terraforming.
  12. Fritzannia

This is, without a doubt, the BEST map out there. It has everything any nation could need: plateaus, island getaways, rebellious, isolated provinces, large plains, mountain ranges, canyons...everything in one!
