    @matias93 as I was thinking about Primordial Dreams , it made me think of the track when you start a new game of Civilization IV (which I don't play much any more as I prefer V) . Its more the spoken word part of it "In the beginning the earth was without form and void." thinking more about it, when you start a new region this is what you start with. just nothingness. just a void , flat land for as far as the eye can see. no mountains , no rivers , no hills, no trees, no lakes. no canyons. No plains , no deserts. no seas. but then you start terraforming it and you breath life into that world. and slowly but surely as you create various landscapes with those terraforming tools , a world starts to appear. Sometimes you will take one of the regions that come with the game and make it your own (which I did with the london region in my current region Matango) and sometimes you make a config file first in photoshop and create a blank region completely from that (thats what I did with a previous Right Hand Region). def love Progressive like this. >> Lost Language is an amazing label. lot of great tracks on it. REally like the really old Markus Schulz sound from the mid 2000s. I don't have the music on in SimCity 4 as I don't play in full screen mode so I am constant going back and forth between it and other applications and when you do that what ever playing stops playing and doesn't pick up when you come back. it just plays something else. I really wish the tracks in SimCity 4 and SimCity 3000 (and some other games) were actually mixed together. I'm thinking about putting together a mix of tracks from various games. really think a bigger story could be told by putting the tracks together into a seamless mix. I'd think I would probably stick some early Anjunabeats tracks in there as well if the vibes are right.
  2. So today is 14 January 2017 , and you know what that means , its SimCity 4's 14th Birthday. What an amazing game this is, no other SimCity game has had the longevity or replayability that this one has. My grandma bought me SimCity 4 about a week after it came out. I've played it on and off since it was released in January 2003. I've invested thousands upon thousands of hours into this game and it is something I can't say about really any other game. To me SimCity 4 is more than a game. Its a hobby. I view it as being similar to how my late grandpa had a love of model trains and had a small little city with various train tracks running through it. I see SimCity 4 in the same light. SimCity 4 is more than a game its a passion. So we give thanks to Maxis for creating such a brilliant toy and the community here for creating so much amazing content for it. So Happy 14th Birthday SimCity 4, I really hope @CorinaMarie remembered to pick up the cake.

    yea it was the Yuisha ones that I checked. its not good to have things scattered around like that nothing on the internet last forever. someone needs to collect all this stuff up and put it in one location.

    yes SimMars is a standalone thing separate from SimCity 4 however it is based off of SimCity 4, however I'm sure you could download it and cherry pick the stuff you want from it.

    you may consider looking at some of the SimMars stuff as well. also check out more of the stuff that SOMY has. he has a website somewhere its in Japanese though. also check out the N@B stuff as well, they have a good pipe system. you may already have those pipes though. maybe get some airport stuff too.

    those are typically called Sub stations. you might be able to find something like that.

    if I can recall the Somy Microwave plant is very expensive per month and has an extremely high plot cost. It sure is beautiful though, especially at night.

    Civ 3 is a very bad influence on SimCIty 4, now SimCity 4 is going around starting wars and pillaging roads.

    keep in mind when you make modifications to your transportation network , the label on that particular network will go away. for this reason I always use signs.

    This track is my favourite of the Terraforming tracks. Its similar to Primordial Dreams I love how it starts out very dark and eerie and then progresses to something warmer and more melodic.
