  1. I found this article very interesting, I translated from Catalan to English using Google (Maybe not the right way) but my English is not enough good to do it by myself: There are two international standards that frame as it comes to the independence of a state. One clarifies decades of discussion is very recent and extremely important. It is the judgment of the International Court of Justice UN Kosovë independence. The other is a little older. Are the two conventions adopted in Vienna in 1978 and 1983 on Succession of States in respect of Treaties and the succession of States in respect of property, archives and debts. If the EU waives create a special mechanism to address the independence of Catalonia, however, says Barroso simply accepted international norms, then Spain simply would have no way to stop automatically become part of Catalonia European Union as soon proclaimed independence. Why and how? Firstly because Spain can not legally argue anything against independence. Not worth anything indivisible unit, not international effects. Kosovë ruling on the debate ended. It says so overwhelming that "there is no argument in international law prohibiting the independence of a country." Further, argues that independence is logically a unilateral act and that 'there is no prohibition against unilateral action itself. " So we have the first piece. If Catalonia Spain proclaims independence has no international legal argument to prevent it. And now specify it in the European case. Vienna conventions explain what happens when a country becomes independent. Obviously, one of the important things is to answer the question of what happens to treaties that apply in their territory because they had been signed earlier, when they were independent. Spain has signed treaties on thousands of different things with countries and organizations around the world. If Catalonia becomes independent of these treaties are still in force? The answer is that, while not change you want to change, yes. The Vienna Convention claim that the 'successor states' are obliged to honor the treaties. In articles 34 to 37 of the Convention of 1978 specifies that treaties signed by the former state remain in force in the states born after the Declaration of Independence. Namely, that all treaties signed by Spain remains valid on the day of independence in Spain and Catalonia. Among those belonging to the European Union. Of course, from here the new States, and Spain will also be in this sense a 'new state' may renegotiate with the other signatories to international treaties if they want, but without ever unilaterally ignore the obligation to comply with them. And a very important nuance: in those cases in which organizations create treaties involving several states recognized that their system is the internal government to decide whether new states may be part or not. And exactly this is where Barroso's words take all their value. Because they mean that Europe fails to establish a model of adhesion particularly in Catalonia and simply say that if international standards are met, that's enough. The translation is very clear: if proclaimed a Catalan state under international law and that Spain has no legal way to prevent it, this was 'inherit' the international agreements signed when the territory was still Spain Therefore, the citizens of Catalonia will be Europeans. Problem solved.

  10. Fire you say?

A very very unrealistic fire. It seems for children games. :| As Dewm said, fire doesn't spread from one house to another like that. The grass needs to burn and be green-black after the fire passed. The fire and the smoke have to be different in many different circumpstances (gas, wood, fuel, country burn, forrest burn...) Honestly, If EA wants to make a good simcity, please take years to develope a realistic game. Not put the 2013 goal.
