Id though I make a thread to show some of the work I do and for support for my upcoming BATs. I prefer to recreate the many buildings I see everyday and I like to have my work as much detailed as possible. Even the smallest thing can be beatiful with proper details and textures. Not to mention that the media "glorifies" these mass shooters by posting their pic and mentioning their name a million times thus making them famous. I was reading the wiki article from the Mall shooting that happened a few years ago and this line got my attention.

The news are going to be all over this tomorrow, and they will blame the guns not the guy.

I remember reading an article on reddit a few days ago about students pirating professional software and how it actually benefited companies like Adobe, Microsoft. It creates market dominance and these companies will benefit once these students get hired and they have to buy the license. Now the problem starts when companies decide to make money using pirated software.

I'd like to say a few things first I feel sorry for the victims and their families and I hope they recover and find peace. Second, the way people and media reacted is disgusting to say the least. We believe what the press says with their sensationalist stories and interviews with the victims, its like theres no respect. But of course the media has to make money its their business. The gun laws aren't the only thing to blame. Let's not forget that today another man in China tragically killed 22 children with a knife. I do hope that politicians don't use tragedy ad a tool to push their agendas and they take their time to analyze the facts. That's all, sorry for any typos, using a phone to type this. I would be interested in this idea. I only did one building from Dubai which isn't really an exact recreation. If you could do some work, I would join this team.

Just wanted to point something out, With SC4 and technology at the time of the release, making weather on SC4 would require powerful computers. To put it simple, when it rains, the droplets collide with objects and kind of free flow. We all know that, but doing it in a computer game at that time? The rain has to hit every single building and texture and produce the effect. With many props and textures in game, the calculations can overload the CPU seriously slowing down the game or even crashing the whole game. With today's computer a city building game with these effects may still be impossible. The game engine has to render graphics, physics, and other events. In a FPS/RTS this is not much of a problem because only a small section is being rendered out of a map. Now with a city building whole map is being rendered nonstop. Just my 2 cents

I. Introduction Isla de Fuego is a fictional city in South America laying above Venezuela and Colombia. First colonized by the Spanish, then served as a fort, Isla de Fuego became a modern island with huge investerments on the oil and natural gas. The largest city in the island is Atlantis, named after the legendary city with the same name. The island has experienced rapid industrialization and modernization making a large Industrial power in South America. The population of the island consists of 50% Spanish/Venezuelan, 30%European, 15% Native/Indian, 3% Asian, 2% Other. GDP Total 150M, Per Capita Income: $30,200, currency: Bolivar Fuerte With a culture different than that of the mainland, the Fuegans (residents of Isla de Fuego) they consider themselves as an independent state rather than a province of Venezuela. For over the years, the Fuegans have struggled for indepencence however the goverment has remained quiet. In the recent years however, the Governor and the Senate have favored indepence. A recent poll showed that 82% of the residents want Indepence, with the Senate approving the Declaration of Indepence. The goverment has slowly undertaken over the public owned facilities, raising down the national flag over the regional flag. An excerpt of the the Atlantis Appeal newspaper The Indepence has caused uproar in Venezuela with Chavez threatening to retake the island. Map for reference The Senate held many meetings over at the newly built Senators Hall. then met a group of intellectuals at the House of Bolivar where they discussed future plans. The next the Governor made a public speech at the newly built Freedom Dome, the planned outdoor party was cancelled due to heavy weather. An overview of the new Corridor of Bolivar On the evening the governor met with some Venezuelan officials that support the Indepence at the Palace of Youth in the Waterfront. The next day, the governor asked the internation press to come to the Island and held a meeting at the Waterfront Plaza. Heavy rain on the evening. The Coastal Guard are constanly patrolling the Island and have orders to attack Venezuelan vessels threating the Island. Here 5 Destroyers and an Aircraft carrier perform a simulation. II. Military Parade The scheduled military parade took place December 24th, which caused some controversy among the church officials and some people in the nation. Nevertheless the Fuegan Armed Crops or FAC showcased its new armor on Independence Avenue. The Infatrymen however stayed in the HQ as they prepare for a full scale simulation on New Yeas Day. The Atlantis Southern Steel and Motors gained a contract to build the new armor and aircraft of the FAC. The same company is also producing a hi-tech FFCIV Class Battleship in the docks On the 25th, Christmass time, the people along with the armed forces gathered at the Cathedral of Atlantis to pray. That concludes the 2nd update, another update coming up soon. Stay tuned!
